Good comfortable stay

The stay at Shangri-La was very pleasant. The only discordant note was our reservation through AGODA. On making the booking, AGODA, without and choice or option reserved a double room, but for 1 person, on arrival we were forced to pay an additional 588TB per night for my wife. Never before have I been charged for a second person. I consider the AGODA policy at best decepitfull. I do recommend the hotel but would recommend a different agent in the future.

Byword for Luxury and Service

One expects luxury and service at this standard of hotel in Bangkok but the Shangri La even though huge conveys a sense of luxurious intimacy that I found breath-taking. It helped, I realize, that I had booked on the Club floors, which constitutes a hotel within a hotel but I saw high standards observed everywhere. My suite, though on the 22nd floor had a wraparound terrace rimmed by a garden. For what I received the price was excellent. Can't recommend highly enough.

Perfect hotel with slow internet

Shangri La has always served me well, but this visit in this Shangri La the internet was extremely slow which I find it very disruptive given that I am there for a short business trip. Staff there, like are friendly but fixing the issue was very slow which was a shock.
Regardless, the river view was amazing while for a family. If I am not in business trip.

A hotel of the superlative
everything, everything, everything.

After travelling for 4 weeks through Cambodia and Vietnam we decided to relax with a few days at this hotel before flying home. It was the right decision. I could not fault this hotel in any way. The staff are professional and efficient yet still radiate a real friendliness and warmth. The service cannot be faulted, the afternoon tea and evening cocktails were amazing and the food served delicious. The hotel pool was mostly empty. I dont think any other hotel I go to will live up this one. We'll be back one day !!
