Lovely room, great pool (although it was in the shade), very friendly staff. We were allowed to check out late at no extra cost and they kept our luggage in a special area until we had to fly out.

The restaurants were not all open, our room was in a different wing than the pool, so we had to go to the lobby and then get a different elevator up to the pool.

We were only there for one night but it was great. We had a great room and we had time for a 4 hour spa treatment, which was great. Very friendly staff and all very attentive. We caught the sky rail to the MBK shopping centre and it was cheap and easy to do from the hotel.

Shopping Tip : MBK is a large indoor shopping centre. You can still bargain there and get really good prices.

everything was very nice. service was very good and quick. Everybody was polite. Swimming pool was Ok but position of the pool does not provide sun after 10 in the morning. The position of the hotel is very satisfactory and you can reach interesting objects in the town easy and cheap by taxi. Dated rooms, pool water too cold.

The hotel was nice though our family room was a bit dated, breakfast buffet was good, staff were great, nice pool area though everyone we met commented the water was too cold, sky rail was great way to travel off the congested traffic, only a tuk tuk ride away to MBK if you can bare the pollution and congestion.

easy access to BTS sky train and located centrally

The windows did not open in the hotel which meant we had to use air con the whole time but hardly a con

We were advised at the airport that the hotel was only a 3 star but when we arrived it was no less than a 5 star. Staff very friendly and extremly helpful, located centrally so easy access to BTS sky train and taxi was always at hand

Travel tip : the hotel tried to charge us 1100 bhat for transport back to airport when we could flag a taxi outside for 400 bhat

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our thailand trip and then when we couldn't get up to chaing mai extended our stay for 2 more nights. Hotel was wonderful. Nice rooms, clean, comfortable, spacious. Hotel pool nice on roof of hotel. A great hotel to come back to after sightseeing. We did 2 tours through the hotel. First was to floating market which was great. Second was to national park and elephant riding which was way too much driving in a small van.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Booked 2 tours through hotel. Floating market tour great. Always ask METER taxi. Should only be 200 baht from airport to hotel.

Most hotel staff are quite helpful. Breakfast was great and the public areas lovely. The pool area is also a plus.

Our room was small, dated and less well decorated than we expected. The bathroom was OK but there was nothing exceptional about the room.

Siam City Hotel is a four star hotel at best. Breakfast is generous and varied and the setting pleasant. The other hotel restaurants are also fine, though one was closed during our visit and another keeps rather short hours. We were disappointed with our room. It was dated, small and plain. Arriving late at night and rather tired, we were still able to muster expressions of disappointment regarding our room. It is fair to say our concerns were greeted with genuine indifference by the clerk with whom we had just checked in. With so many great hotels in Bangkok, it is doubtful we will stay at this hotel in the future.

This was a great hotel. Very close to everything. Only cost about 100 bhat to reach most areas of interest. The rooms were very clean and nice. The staff were great. Organized a few tours from the tour agents in the hotel, which were great. Pool is great. 7-11 right beside the hotel so each to buy snacks. Make sure when you go from the airport you say METER to the taxi driver. Ours screwed us over and told us 450 bhat without putting on the meter. Would only have cost us 200 bhat if the meter was put on.

hotel staffs were very kind. they showed me the smile and kindness of THAI. breakfast was really delicious. not that many kinds of food was served but it was enough to have a good breakfast. specially really tasty sausages, hams and breads.

i stayed st renovated ayuthaya wing. bathroom was very tiny and bed was a little small for 2 person. it was not a queen size just normal double bed. internet rate was really expensive. i did not use during my stay because i thought it is stupid to pay 16baht per min and 700 baht per day which is same as 20 dollars!!.

except for tiny bathroom and expensive internet rate, i spent great time in siam city hotel. very good dining and shops are very near at the hotel in walking distance. surely, i will choose siam city again on my next visit.

The staff are very friendly and recognise returning customers. It is very close to the BTS line.

Some of the food outlets have been closed for the off season and the swimming pool was alos closed for mainteance.

I have stayed at the Siam Cit Hotel several times and it remains a favourite largley because the rooms are a good size, and because of its location close to the BTS. Check in and check out are efficient and they seem to have no problem finding a room for me even if I arrive at 8.00AM after a flight. The main restaurant offers an exceptional buffet meal with a 30% discount for hotel patrons. The tourist downturn is obvioulsy affecting the hotel operations as they have closed some of the food outlest. Hopefully this will pick up again iin October.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the BTS train - you save a lot of time and money.

Location close to sky train.

Expensive restaurants. Difficult to regulate air condition.

We stayed three persons in a deluxe room. The room was spacious and clean, but nothing special. Restaurants in the hotel are quite expensive, so it is better to eat out. Breakfast was OK. Pool is located on the northern side of the hotel and is in shadow during most of day. Will probably try another hotel next time in Bangkok.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Water world and cinemas in the Paragon shopping center are definitely worth a visit.

Good price, friendly, staff, location

They have mosquitoes here and there. The rooms facing the street are noisy.

Again my colleague and I chose Siam City Hotel due to its location and good prices. The staff remembered my and welcome me back. The Ayuthaya wing rooms are a bit small bit clean and nice. The noise level is a bit high though especially in the mornings. They should try to seal the windows better. Remembering the hassle with the check-out last time, I asked them to prepare my payment in advance. For some reason the check-out was still too long for such a simple procedure taking around 10 minutes. They really need to improve the procedure there. Other than that the hotel is recommended and the staff is very polite and courteous.

Travel tip : Go for the massage at the parallel Rangnam Road.

The location of the hotel is close to a BTS station and has a number of good food outlets.

The rooms in the new section are a little small but just adequate for the single traveler particularly if it has two single beds a king size bed is a better choice.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and the staff are very friendly and provide a good level of service. The food outlets provide good quality food. The bar area is very pleasant and the live music is of good quality. The best rooms are probably in the old wing (40 sq meters) although the bathrooms are looking just a fraction past their best.

Travel tip : Buy a 24 hour pass on the BTS for 120 baht and enjoy the clean efficient, air conditioned comfort. Leaves most cities for dead for price quality and efficiency.

very good location, near the bts station and just 2-min walk to 711. the waiters and waitresses in the restaurants are very friendly and accommodating.

i didn't like the room. it needs refurbishing.

the siam city hotel is located near the bts station, just 5 minute walk away. i liked that the hotel is very near 711. i was able to buy food and stuff whenever needed. it's not located in an area where there are lots of bars and restaurants to go to at night. the hotel staff in the lobby are friendly and helpful especially when i needed to go to a university outside bangkok. they helped me give instructions to the taxi driver. the waiters and waitresses that attended to me during breakfast are very friendly and accommodating too. the same with the waiter in the resto by the pool. the room needs refurbishing. it's outdated.

Great Breakfast, Nice Pool setting, Calm ( no noises ), very clean room & bathroom ( newly furnished ), good location next to the BTS.

Night Food provided by the Hotel was Terrible ( never order salmon & veg pizza ). Shutting down the electricity while we were sitting in the Garden area giving us the excuse that its late & we need to save energy. The Check in took ages & the Communication between staff wasn't efficient. for example we checked in & the restaurant didn't have us listed in the breakfast list they were even shocked that we were there.

Although its not really far from the BTS station or the airport 20 mins by car i would not go back to Siam city hotel as the area at night is totally dull where there is no night life or restaurants next to the hotel at all expect for this small disco opposite to the hotel. To be fair check in took us a very long time after a very long fly but it took us few mins to check out, I wouldn't rank it as a 5 star hotel judging from the interior & exterior the setting it looks more like a 4 star.

Nightlife Tip : Never Believe the stranger in front of the hotel who acts like part of the staff. he will try to direct you to any of bad the restaurants or disco for a commission he gets from them.
