Hotel clean with friendly English speaking staff at front desk. Ten minute walk to train or 10-20 bht taxi fare
No food in hotel. No coffee in room. In good location with several different types of resturants to eat in within short walk all depends on what you like. Excellent street food and local market just around corner. There are plenty of places to shop just depends on your tastes and budget. Short taxi ride if you want to enjoy the nightlife. Will go back again.

Central and easy to get to - not too far from Skytrain. Difficult to communicate with management- very little english is spoken The room I was allocated was Room 148 on 25 February 2009 The room had a terrible smell of insecticide I opened one window and the entrance door and after 15 minutes it smelt just as bad and clawed at the back of your throat - I complained to the front desk staff who sent a staff member up with me to investigate she disappeared so I went back and asked for another room - this time I was given Room 133. The bath tap came off in my hand when I first tried to have a shower other than this the room was fine...
Shopping Tip : Bottled water supply - the best deal turn right out of Hotel along Silom Road and a short distance along is Tescoes - cheapest supply of any outlet.
It is easy to get AE1 Airport Express Bus 1 from the Hotel ( air conditioned and very comfortable - and a lot less hassle than dealing with taxi drivers ) the hotel front security guard will wave the bus down for you whilst you sit in the reception area - they are frequent and mine took about 1.5 hours despite very heavy traffic,fare to the airport a very reasonable 100baht.

I would have been better had the hotel reception staff been more pleasant. The nearest sky train is a bit far away if you prefer to take it. About 15 min walk. ABt. 35 Bht by taxi

Good place to stay for two to three nights if you are in Bangkok for shopping or business.
Shopping Tip : Has every kind of place for shopping just 5 minutes with taxi. From small market to big center.

Not really a backpacker hotel as you can find much cheaper places on khoasan road.
Travel tip : If you have some fancy clothes you should definitely go the the sky bar at the eastern end of Silom road, its 64 floors up and gives an incredible view of bangkok, especially at night. For bargain shopping away from stalls, the MBK centre is perfect, not far in a taxi.

I have stayed here on three occasions and it suits my needs very well. I will definitely be back.
Restaurant Tip : The breakfast and lunch buffet area in the village provides a good variety of tasty food for a good price in a very quiet and relaxed setting. In the evenings there is good seafood and a free cultural show.

The Staff are very unfriendly!!!
The rooms are in the near from the restaurant and it’s big noise. The whole night you can hear the Air-condition.

The Patpong Street is straight ahead on the Silom Road, 20 minutes' walk from the hotel heading to the Sala Daeng station. You can find two stations, the Surasak and Chong Nonsi stations, from where you can go many places on a train (BTS) whithout negotiating your taxi fare with the driver.
Restaurant Tip : I like the food at Somboon, the seafood restaurant at the intersection of the Suriwong and the Chong Nonsi Roads.

BTS (skytrain) is an eight-minute walk or 20 baht ride by tuk tuk. It is just one BTS station from Taksin Bridge Express Boat pier. So all those must see places are a convenient trip away.
