very convenient location, easy access to subway station. rooms are very comfortable, service is impeccable. we had an upgrade to the club lounge facilities, enjoyed the personalised services only thing is that the hotel is showing a bit of age, it's still in comfortable condition and it was obviously renovated. but some facilities like bath tub is a bit old. we got a upgrade to club level with full access to club lounge. the service was very pleasant and hotel facilities are very comfortable.
Good location too if you want to take the train, easy to get around. there are also a lot of amenities around the hotel.
only pity is that some facilities show a bit of age like bath tub in the room and the swimming pool is a bit small.
I would like to stay at this hotel again for my next visit.

The condition of the rooms and amenities included in our promotion: free breakfast; free afternoon tea; free cocktails, and free internet --all on the 27th floor. We got an additional upgrade when we returned from Cambodia, a very upscale room on the 35th floor. The service and amenities throughout our stay were all 5-star. The fitness center was small. We stayed in the Silom Sofitel from May 18-21 and again May 28-31, 2009. Our room was superb in every way. The amenities included in our promotional package included free breakfast; free afternoon tea; free cocktails, and free internet --all on the 27th floor. We got an additional upgrade when we returned from Cambodia, a very upscale room on the 35th floor. The service and amenities throughout our stay were all 5-star.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Lumphini Park is a short 8-10 min jog from the hotel with several 7-Elevens along the way to get a sports drink. Just watch out for those giant rats in the street at 4:30 AM.

I always stay in this hotel when I travel alone to Bangkok. It is clean, tidy and very comfortable. Sometime I find the lobby to crowded and small. Overall the hotel is perfect for my needs when I stay in Bangkok.
