The Sukhothai Bangkok offers a selection of Bangkok restaurants, the Colonnade, Celadon, La Scala and Pool Terrace Cafe & Bar. Our restaurants offer a fine selection of local Thai and international cuisine. Or if you just want to enjoy a cocktail and a light snack, The Bar and Lobby Salons are sure to impress.
Celadon
Celadon is one of Bangkok's most celebrated Thai restaurants, serving authentic Thai cuisine in classically designed, air-conditioned salas. A lotus-pond surrounds the restaurant and open-air terraces also provide guests with the choice of alfresco dining. The extensive a la carte menu offers a selection of the finest dishes from all over Thailand. This year, Celadon was named as the 'Best Restaurant in Bangkok' by Travel and Leisure magazine.
Colonnade
The all-new Colonnade all-day dining restaurant is all things to all people … Amid an ambience of casual elegance, epicures can enjoy live cooking, oyster shucking and sushi-making during the day. Colonnade's island charcoal grill comes alive at night, when diners can choose from a mouth-watering array of quality meats and seafood, chargrilled to perfection, or new a la carte creations, all complemented by a selection of fine wines and spirits. Evenings are incredibly special – through tall windows, diners have a glimpse of the serene splendour of a bygone age reflected in the lighted water garden with its replica stupas. Sunday Brunch at Colonnade is legendary – it is a gastronomic feast fit for a king, featuring only the freshest and best culinary delights.
Private Dining Room
The Private Dining Room is at your disposal for those memorable private moments. It is ideal for special occasions when privacy and comfort are paramount. The Private Dining Room enjoys its own discreet entrance and is ideal for intimate banquets, cocktail parties and even special product launches for A-list clients. Choose from quality menus to suit the ambience you wish to create and then leave all the details to The Sukhothai's professional catering executives.
Pool Terrace Café & Bar
Serves food "all day" and an exotic range of health drinks in a casual setting overlooking the pool. The Pool Terrace Café & Bar is the ideal place to relax in an open-air setting. Open daily from 6.30am. - 10.00pm.
Lobby Salons
Located next to the main lobby, the Salons serve a selection of hot and cold beverages, cocktails, light snacks and afternoon tea. A Chocolate Buffet is offered every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2.00pm.-6.00pm.. Live entertainment highlights with a traditional Kim player every day.
La Scala
Italian food that is classic, and yet exciting and tempting to the palate, puts the menu of La Scala in a class of its own. Just as the design and decor unite the contemporary with a Thai cultural context, so the cuisine presents pure traditional recipes with unparalleled creative flair.Essentially, the music offers a broad range of jazz, featuring well-known names, such as Oscar Peterson, as well as other, less familiar, more contemporary artists.
Thiman
The gourmet shop where coffee, tea, chocolate truffles and delicious pastries are served and available for sale. Open Daily: 08.00am. – 08.00pm.

Deluxe Studio
As are all Sukhothai rooms, the 45 sqm Deluxe Studios are incredibly lovely and not done justice to in photos. Only once you are struck by the light streaming from the floor to ceiling windows off the small balcony overlooking the pool, can you appreciate Ed Tuttle’s design. The teak floors (carpet is available if you prefer) gleam and the olive and taupe silks on the King-sized duvet bed center the room (twin beds are available but positioned together). A large workdesk (with built in DSL-150baht per 15mins- and fax) faces the plasma flatscreen TV under which is a Bose CD player/radio, a stocked minibar, coffee/tea, and hot pot. The double-sided walk-in closet leads to the oversized bathroom (same size in all room categories). the opposing sinks, large ottoman, bath, separate shower, slippers, bathrobes, hairdryer, safe-box, scale and bath phone make for a grand rest.

Deluxe Suite
The 76 sqm Deluxe Suite is balanced like a perfect Thai meal: the teakwood warms while the celadon silks cool; the textured antique drawing-room chairs balance the sleek decadence of the back-to-back flat-screen TVs. The room welcomes visitors with a teak foyer. The living room area is separated from the bedroom by a wall and the double large bathroom is accessible by two doors. DSL at the desk (150baht per 15mins), 4 IDD telephones, two a/cs, safe-box, stocked mini-fridge, hotpot, hairdryer, newspaper, fruit plate, scale, walk-in closet, 2 sink vanity and separate shower and bath. report and photos as of Aug 22 2006.

The Thai restaurant in this hotel is also wonderful. We enjoyed sophisticated Thai food here.
- Restaurant Tip : Suan Lum Night Bazaar is near the hotel. A seafood restaurant called "Suan Lum Seafood" is recommendable.

Privacy when you want it, service when you want it, lounge around the pool or at the bar, this is just the place to relax in Bangkok while you prepare yourself for the nightife. I always felt very secure at the hotel, with numerous security staff very evident at all hours. There's also a checkpoint as you come into the main driveway. Not a lot for kids to do around the hotel except the pool, but certainly accommodating for families with children. The suites are something else, and I highly recommend them if you are there to be pampered.

A classy hotel, we opted for the airport transfer and were driven to the hotel in a brand new Mercedes 320D. Once we arrived, we were met by a guest relations manager who took us straight to our room for in-room check-in. We stayed here for our honeymoon and waiting for us in the room was a miniature wedding cake, a bottle of chilled sparkling wine, and champagne flutes. This was all in the first night. It really sets the scene for our entire stay.
- Restaurant Tip : The restraunts are classy, so dress nice.
