Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. Three On Convent Perfect wine complements the food, that is inspired from California's wine country cooking. Staying true to that, the ingredients are organic, and involves little or no frying.

Very conveniently placed and small size means it more personal
English training for many staff is still sadly lacking (further to my comment of 6 months ago)
The Swiss Lodge is our premier choice during frequent visits to Bangkok. It is well positioned for the metro and sky train and the surrounding streets hold many good restaurants.
The rooms are ample and clean, very well presented. The pool is adequate but management should remember to provide some shade - it does get hot in the sun!
The negative - we now laugh at it - is the total lack of English among the catering staff. On the day of our arrival we ordered room service to be informed that beef burgers were not available, nor the club sandwich, nor the steak sandwich and so it continued. We did manage to put in an order and then waited, and waited and waited. Finally we went to investigate and found that the kitchen had forgotten the room number we had given. One hour later we were delivered our original request - stone cold. Not really good enough and very similar to our previous experience and management should get its finger out.
The front desk are helpful and polite.
Restaurant Tip : Not usually my style but I found the Molly Malone "pub" served excellent pub-type food and the draught Tiger is to die for (especially as I work most of the year in a dry country)

Swiss Lodge is in the heart of Siam, just a couple minutes from the sky train.
Breakfast has always been a weakness of this hotel.
I've stayed at the Swiss Lodge a dozen times in the past years and always find it predictable (in a good way). Rooms are clean, front desk staff are helpful, and the bellman remembers me from previous visits. Free wi-fi is a plus, but the tiny pool and lack of a gym are minuses. It's in the heart of the gay area so there are plenty of gay couples who choose to stay there. They've remodeled the restaurant, but I've yet to have a good breakfast there. On a three night stay, I only ate there once.
Restaurant Tip : Bau, a Thai restaurant, and Coyote, a Mexican restaurant are both very good and just up the street.

Good and friendly reception
Breakfast ..poor choice
Restaurant ..food below par
We arrived to a good and friendly reception and your Agoda voucher was readily accepted. In a few minutes we were in our room. Room was clean and had most of the necessary amenities.Hotel Location is good..close to Shopping at Central and Pat Pong for entertainment. Train stations were close.
We had dinner one night at the restaurant and I tell you, I should have just walked out to the nearby resturants. The Tom Yam and Thai noodles were below par. I love Thai food
Restaurant Tip : There are good restaurants at the basement of the Central Shopping complex which is five minutes walk away. here are aalso many resaurants on Soi Convent. Check out the Convent and Monastry and you will see why it is called Soi Convent.
