Small and well positioned.
Poor English of waiting staff & stinky pillows on beds (due to smokers). Non-smoking room requested on both occasions we stayed at hotel - but obviously not given.
A lovely hotel (quality/price) and well situated in a great part of Bangkok; easy to access and metro and sky train very near by. Good restaurants in walking distance. Lovely reception staff and adequate sized rooms. We will happily stay again.
But there are negative features and they can be addressed easily. First the very smelly pillows on the beds (we stayed on two different occasions in two different rooms). We had requested non-smoking rooms on both occasions and received one on neither. This is a very negative point (as my blocked sinuses can attest).
Second negative point is the very poor level of spoken English in the dining room. Try asking for a proper vinaigrette for a salad and see what you get brought and how long it takes!!
Third, service in the dining room is over fussy. There is a fine line between good service and overpowering presence. The lack of any other customers (why?) on the occasions we ate in the hotel meant that we received the full "helpful" assistance of all five servers - overwhelming and food spoil by so much attention (a full glass does not require more adding to it - thanks!!).
But the negative points aside, we had two lovely stays in the hotel and will certainly come back again in the near future.
Restaurant Tip : Great Thai restaurant (the second) about 100 metres down Convent towards the sky train.

This hotel is located on a busy side-street in Patpong but retains an air of calm. There is a good roof-top pool and the staff are couteous and helpful.
The breakfast buffet wilts under pressure and dinner service is slow, with many items not available. The rooms could do with some refurbishment.
This smaller hotel enjoys a good location for all the happenings in Patpong and for access to the Skytrain whilst being quiet and peaceful inside with helpful, courteous staff. The small roof-top pool is worth a visit at the end of a hot, sticky day in Bangkok. The breakfast and dinner service could be improved.
Restaurant Tip : Bua just along the road from the hotel is a vibrant good-value restaurant. The king prawns with garlic and the mango sticky rice are to die for.

Good location for all the happenings in Patpong and access to the Skytrain but retains peaceful air.
The breakfast buffet wilts under pressure and dinner service is slow with many menu items not available.
This smaller hotel is located in a very busy side sreet in downtown Patpong yet retains an air as an oasis of calm. The staff are courteous and helpful. There is a small but pleasant roof-top pool but the rooms are just about in need of some refurbishment.

Generally very good service, great location in the heart of the Silom St area close to Patong, the BTS and the river, decent breakfast included, competitive price. Been enjoying repeated stays here since 2001 -- very consistent hotel.
Perhaps some wear & tear is showing in some of the rooms. It can get a bit noisy with traffic noise during the day, but a room at the back on a higher floor probably helps.
Generally very good friendly service; great location in the heart of the Silom St area close to Patpong, good mix of eateries and bars, the BTS and the river; decent breakfast included, competitive price. Been enjoying repeated stays here since 2001 -- very consistent hotel. Ideal for visitors who already know Bkk a bit, but also fine for new visitors who want to plunge in. Perhaps some wear & tear is showing in some of the rooms. If you are acoustically sensitive, it can get a bit noisy with traffic noise during the day, but a room at the back on a higher floor probably helps.
Restaurant Tip : An Issan eatery across the Irish pub just steps away from the hotel is one of the best in town. Amazingly good food and ridiculously low prices, super popular with the Thai lunch crowd.

Good location, Plenty of foods for breakfast, complementary internet wireless access
When I stayed, a party was held at the cafeteria, during daytime. I could not concentrate to do anything. It was quiet at night.
Hotel Feature Tip : The internet wireless access is often disconnected.

near to the Skytrain station, not faraway from the night bazar & the Patpong market
we enjoyed a lot our stay in the swiss lodge hotel, special because the nice people how work in the hotel, the excellent breakfast and also tanks to the good position. it's just 5 min.faraway from the Patong night market;the night bazar it's also near from there, just 15 min.walking! Tanks to the station of Skiyrain we could visit the rest of the city without to search the whole day one taxi or one tuk-tuk. if I go another time to BKK I'll sure stay again in the same hotel.

Lack of diversity in breakfast offerings. Greater knowledge of local restaurants would be appeciated.
Well run and managed with friendly staff. Staff offered tips for managing Bangkok; particularly Thai rather than tourist approaches. Busy area yet off the main street so it was fairly quiet. Caters to both the tourist and the business traveller. I'd stay here again.
Nightlife Tip : Gay friendly neighborhood...

We stayed for one night at Swiss cottage and found it a really hotel with good facilities. The Swiss cottage staff were felxible, helpful and always attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The location is great for Pat Pong market and the sky train is only a few steps away. Great value for money.

Hotel located close to overhead rail system and near to markets and street food
Rooms small, but OK for a couple of days
Nice hotel for a few days in KL - we would stay here again. The hotel staff are very helpful and offered sightseeing suggestions as well as food experiences. Breakfast served in the hotel was excellent. The pool is small and suitable only for a quick cool-off. Only a small walk to market area of Patpong and also the larger Suan-Lum Night Bazaar.

Nice and relaxed, desk staff very friendly, very close to the skytrain, shopping for the wife was great (she says).
Didn't dislike anything, but I suppose that the breakfast could be improved, there was not alot of choice.
They call this type of hotel a "boutique" hotel nowadays, I think that means it's quite small.
Absolutely nothing major wrong with this hotel. It is close to all the amenities that you might need and if you need to go further for stuff, the Skytrain is on your doorstep.
I would have no qualms about staying here again and I probably will.
Restaurant Tip : Try the Dusit Hotel's (just round the corner) Japanese restaurant. It's great!

Good mix of Eastern and Western eating places. Lively area but not "full on."
Restaurant Tip : If seeking a break from Thai cuisine try La Boulange
Bakery and Cafe Diagonallu opposite.

Almost all taxi drivers know where Thanon Convent (Convent Road) is. Just tell them Thanon Convent near Silom or Sala Deng BTS and they will know where to take you. Don't tell them Swiss lodge as most of them would not know this name.
