friendly staff
boutique hotel
good restaurant
If you are looking for a hotel close to it all, good size rooms, friendly staff and pretty funky, not too mention the restaurant that serves fantastic organic food, this is it!
This boutique hotel is a secret oasis in the heart of the Silom district,it offers traquility once inside, and all that Bangkok has to offer when you exist thru the doors.A real gem in a sea of diamonds.
Travel tip : three good Irish pubs all in walking distance.

The main thing I like about this hotel is the location for the business I need to do
Overall I did not find any weaknesses this time
As I stated before I really like this hotel as the location fits for me for the business I need to do. It is close access to the sky train and a DHL office that I use. The staff is really efficient and knows me now as I have been there several times. The rooms are always clean and fresh. I would stay there again.

Spending half our time in Cambodia we stop in Bangkok regularly, don't usually stay at Swiss Lodge but will again. Staff were excellent, room was ready although we were early. Rooms was excellent size and very comfortable with everything needed...free water! position to all entertainment and shopping could not be better
Swimming pool was adequate, but certainly not huge. Difficult to find something to complain about!!
Bangkok is a wonderful city with this hotel placed within easy reach of the airport and Pat Pong, also night market. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast good, lots of fruit and healthy eating if you wanted it. The big shopping Malls are also close but have a look down all the little side streets, there are some real bargins. Certainly would stay here again
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Pat Pong is really not to be missed! I love it just to sit and watch. Barter on the stalls and work on about a third of the price first suggested. If they let you walk away they really could not reduce the price more but yu can always go back!

Great location, nice staff, good sized rooms
Maybe it's time to refresh the rooms
Our first time in Bangkok and we were relocating no touring. We had been in a place for over a week but then had to move due to booking problems. We moved next door to Swiss lodge where we had been eating breakfast every morning anyway. I thought the roomeas a nice size, it was clean, bed was super comfortable, staff is very nice with decent English skills and the bfast came with the room. It is close to a subway station as well as sky train which is invaluable if you plan to use the pub trans system. Some good resaurants ( the Irish pub is excellent and good places in nice littlte mall just down the small side street the hotel is on) maybe it's time for some new carpet but I am also no a fan of carpet. I would definitely stay there again. Must book through agoda to get best rate. Oh also was not too smutty; mainly business people.

Clear room, friendly staff, location, value for money at discount price only
poor view from the room we stayed in.
The value for money was great. We only paid 1800 bahts a night, with the agoda discount, for a room initially marked at 5,000. However nice the room was, we wouldn't have paid 5,000 for it: overrater!
I'll definetly come back to the Swiss lodge: The staff is really friendly, the location is perfect: Near to lumpini park, a few blocks to the BTS, lively neighborhood, a couple of stations from siam square.
Restaurant Tip : If you like Californian food and wine, the hotel's restaurent (three on convent) looks great. We didn't try it but we will next time

The surrounding environment is pretty dirty. The room is small. It can be only a 3-star hotel but with a 4-star charge ( still around 2200 B a night at low season). That is quite expensive. Overall, it is an old hotel. Many equipments needed to be updated.

Room had everything a business traveller needs for a short stay. It is easy to get to either the skytrain or subway from here.
View from my room was directly to building across street, so not very pleasant, although I didn't spend much time in the room.
A pleasant stay for solo businesswoman. The hotel had everything I needed - free wifi in the room, good beer in the mini-bar, free fruit bowl, selection of books in room and in library case, iron and ironing board. Very comfortable bed. The hotel looks a little old these days, but is in a great location, is clean and has everything needed for the business or leisure traveller. Staff were very attentive and professional.
Restaurant Tip : Bananaleaf restaurant on the basement level of the Silom Complex, not far from the hotel, has excellent Thai food - incredibly busy with Thai office workers at lunch time, but perhaps a good quiet spot for dinner.

I liked the location for the business I needed to do. It is centrally located in the Silom district near the Sky Train and the Underground. The Hotel is very clean, nice big rooms, very well maintained. The Bathroom was very nice. Eating breakfast was very dis-organized I had to ask for my eggs 5 times. And did complain to the hotel on this. Overall, I enjoyed staying at this hotel because I was able to get an incredible rate with Agoda.
Hotel Feature Tip : Really close to Sky Train and Underground Stations

Amiable and friendly staff, perfect room cleaning, good location, well equipped rooms, hearty breakfast.
Small swimming pool...but it was common for all hotels we stayed in.
This hotel was a perfect choice...we received warm welcome from the staff when we arrived at the reception. The hotel is modern, the rooms are well equipped, it was very well cleaned every day. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is very close to BTS, there are many restaurants in surrounding with many different cuisines and all services your might need. You should not miss visiting the nearby market Patpong market to train your negotiating skills and also to get to know the other side of Bangkog.

The staff are warm and friendly and make you feel at home.
There is no gym facility.
The hotel staff are warm and friendly and are able to converse in English which is a convenience for us. The location is convenient as it is within walking distance to the BTS which makes movement in traffic conjested Bangkok very easy for a traveller. The only set back is that the hotel does not have a gym.
Shopping Tip : The BTS which is within walking distance takes you to all the major shopping malls and to Chatuchak market easily

Small and well positioned.
Poor English of waiting staff & stinky pillows on beds (due to smokers). Non-smoking room requested on both occasions we stayed at hotel - but obviously not given.
A lovely hotel (quality/price) and well situated in a great part of Bangkok; easy to access and metro and sky train very near by. Good restaurants in walking distance. Lovely reception staff and adequate sized rooms. We will happily stay again.
But there are negative features and they can be addressed easily. First the very smelly pillows on the beds (we stayed on two different occasions in two different rooms). We had requested non-smoking rooms on both occasions and received one on neither. This is a very negative point (as my blocked sinuses can attest).
Second negative point is the very poor level of spoken English in the dining room. Try asking for a proper vinaigrette for a salad and see what you get brought and how long it takes!!
Third, service in the dining room is over fussy. There is a fine line between good service and overpowering presence. The lack of any other customers (why?) on the occasions we ate in the hotel meant that we received the full "helpful" assistance of all five servers - overwhelming and food spoil by so much attention (a full glass does not require more adding to it - thanks!!).
But the negative points aside, we had two lovely stays in the hotel and will certainly come back again in the near future.
Restaurant Tip : Great Thai restaurant (the second) about 100 metres down Convent towards the sky train.

This hotel is located on a busy side-street in Patpong but retains an air of calm. There is a good roof-top pool and the staff are couteous and helpful.
The breakfast buffet wilts under pressure and dinner service is slow, with many items not available. The rooms could do with some refurbishment.
This smaller hotel enjoys a good location for all the happenings in Patpong and for access to the Skytrain whilst being quiet and peaceful inside with helpful, courteous staff. The small roof-top pool is worth a visit at the end of a hot, sticky day in Bangkok. The breakfast and dinner service could be improved.
Restaurant Tip : Bua just along the road from the hotel is a vibrant good-value restaurant. The king prawns with garlic and the mango sticky rice are to die for.

Good location for all the happenings in Patpong and access to the Skytrain but retains peaceful air.
The breakfast buffet wilts under pressure and dinner service is slow with many menu items not available.
This smaller hotel is located in a very busy side sreet in downtown Patpong yet retains an air as an oasis of calm. The staff are courteous and helpful. There is a small but pleasant roof-top pool but the rooms are just about in need of some refurbishment.
