Breakfast, large rooms, friendly staff.

Distance from centre.

I stay in this hotel since more than 10 years twice a year. Top class service, large rooms and large bathroom, exstensive breakfast in beatifull space and big swimming pool. The only minor point is the far away distance from Sukhumvith but with the underground train close to the hotel it is just like 15 minutes away.

Travel tip : Night market street at other side hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Swissotel in Bangkok. It was reasonably priced and our room was lovely. The hotel is close to a MRT stop. Staff at the hotel is able to write requested destinations in Thai and give to waiting cab drivers. Since we speak very little Thai and the language is written in different writing, communication can be difficult. This made it easier to get around.

The Swissotel le Concorde is a lovely hotel. It is quite, clean, and conveniently located to an MRT station. Staff is helpful and willing to accommodate your needs. We also had a beautiful view. Breakfast is nice with good cofee. I thought gum, tea, and a few other things came with our room, because it was a Premium room. While we were placing our luggage in the cab, after we checked out, the front desk called housekeeping for an accounting of the items in the room. We had taken some Mentos gum, as I said I thought it was something that came with the Premium room. They chased us out to the cab and had my husband come back in and pay for a pack of gum - 80 baht.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a good place to get foot massages and Thai massages located within walking distance from the hotel. It is located on the nearest cross street (MRT station) and Soi 7.

Swissotel Le Concorde is my home in Bangkok. I live in Hua Hin and every time I need to stay in Bangkok, once or twice a month, my hotel is that one. Staff is very nice, rooms are quiet, clean, spacious, breakfast is gorgeous, MRT train station is at a stone throw. On top of that Chinese and Japanese restaurants in the hotel are excellent at a reasonable price. My next stay at Swissotel will be in two days' time.

Restaurant Tip : Somboom restaurant, just opposite the hotel, is one of the best seafood restaurants in town.

Item as stated below

As you arrive at the Hotel you are greeted by staff that are very friendly and professional, but that is where the professionalism stops.and stops abruptly. I booked this hotel with "Agoda" which i find is a first class booking service. I was given two types of room choices Standard and Premier. Just to check the what else was available with the premium room i call the Hotel from the UK, i specific asked if Internet access was included in room price and was told YES it is. This was very important to us to have that facility. So i subsequently booked the Premier room thinking everything is sorted. My girlfriend arrived at hotel before me and reported to reception for check in only to be told we not have premier room, and if she wanted to have Internet in room, she would have to pay an astonishing 600 bht ( £12,00 ) for the privilege for 24 hours. She went to our booked room ,after dealing with EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful reception staff, and having to carry her own bags very disappointed. When i arrived i thought i would sort this problem out with the management, and found him to be as rude as the rest of the staff. The were not prepared to honour there side of the agreement at all, and all i wanted was what i had already paid for. I would never stay in this hotel again, You even have to pay 150 bht for the tiny bedroom slippers in the room if you use them, and 100bht if you have a can of soft drink from the very poor quality minii bar. This hotel is a total rip off. There are many many better Hotels in Bangkok,

Comfortable hotel

Friends can't visit after 11pm

The hotel is very comfortable. I have stayed there many times. At night there is food to eat around there. Only think is that friends are not able to visit after 11 pm. Draw back to get the membership of Swissotel take very long to get it. I wait 2 years to have the membership.

- Location

- Breakfast (choice of food)

In general I think the Swissotel Le Concord is for the price I paid a quite good hotel. Only the breakfast select is for a hotel with this reputation quite bad. The only thing I really like is that they serve real fresh brewed coffee. I stayed this time in the standard classic room which is same as the premier room I had last time. Also the hotel staff didn't know the difference. The internet connection is very expensive with 600 bath/24 hours. No rate/min.

Restaurant Tip : Opposit of the hotel is very good seafood restaurant. Simple designed but very good fresh food. Don't remember the name but you can't miss it next to the subway station.

Well appointed rooms. Very reasonable room price. Friendly and attentive service. Reasonable prices for lsaundry. Clost to MRT station.

Can't think of any

I spent three nights at Le Concorde recently and have only good things to say about it. The rooms are large and well-appointed - especially considering the price and the hotel's location. The buffet food (with free breakfast) is plentiful and varied - there's something for everyone. The Chinese food at the hotel's Chinese restaurant is very good also. The only problems during my stay were that the room (on a non-smoking floor) seriously smelled of tobacco smoke when I arrived (but due to the slow economy I think it had not been used for a while), and the shower drain was plugged initially. But using the air conditioner for a few hours cured the first problem, and the engineering department took care of the second one. All in all, I would come again.

Good establlishment, clean and friendly staff

Nothing

The bathroom was really very nice (e.g. huge shower). The staff was friendly and helfpful. The breakfast had a big variety of western and asian food. The room was clean, the bed really comfortable. I felt very well in this hotel. On my trip I have been to 7 different hotels - this one was defintely the best one !

Shopping Tip : A lot of malls are aorund the hotel.

Executive room and non-smoking floor. Very attentive, friendly, courteous staff. Good location for shopping and Thailand Cultural Centre.

None

Room size and amenities were fitting for a 5 star hotel. All staff were courteous and helpful. Executive floor was non-smoking. The Executive lounge was excellent with complimentary Happy Hour and appetizers. The Executive Lounge staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurants and bar were also well appointed and staffed, and the food was top-notch. This hotel is located close to the Thailand Cultural Centre and Robinson Department store, as well as entertainment areas. Good value for money

Nice place for just relax

a bit expensive for what you get

If you dont want to fly to an islend and prefer to rent a car/Taxi you can get in 3H drive to this lovely place. in general its give the same feeling as you go to Samui or Phuket, just a bit smaller, and not so much shop as in samui or phuket, but its nice at night to walk on the beach and have many resturant on the beach, can rent a bike for 300bht and see all the islend.the room ok, but a bit expensive for what u get. overall it was nice and relax
