Good value, centrally located, and well run hotel
8.3
Have frequently stayed at this hotel, and have always found it consistent in the level of service provided by the different stratas of staff. This is a hotel ideal for being close to the Sukhumvit area, but tucked away enough to ensure a goods night sleep if thats whats required.
Shopping Tip:
Make use of the Skytrain/MRT station located on the same street to visit Siam centre and other areas

Difficult to fault. We have stayed in this hotel previously, and will continue to do so. Close to BTS Sky Train and MRT, Sukumvit and Asoke Roads, Soi Cowboy and other attractions. Short ride to Siam shopping district and Emporium Shopping Centre. Highly recommended...

Little jewel of a Hotel
Close to BTS, bars, restaurants and the Sukhumvit Rd, very friendly staff.

The Tai Pan is my hotel of choice when visiting Bangkok. Is well situated close to the best of Bangkok's nightlife, has an abundance of bars and restaurants within walking (or stumbling)distance and the nearest BTS is a few minutes away. The rooms are spotlessly clean and generally quiet - depending on how considerate other guests are! - which is perfect if you want to get your head down after a tiring flight. Facilities (gym and swimming pool) are not brilliant, but I recommend a massage at the spa which must be one of the best I've ever visited - the masseuse has a grip of steel! Again, fantastic if you need to unwind after a flight.
Food in the restaurant is very good as is breakfast, although if this is not to your taste the restaurants nearby cater for all tastes - the Victoria down the road does a decent fry-up for homesick Brits!
Shopping Tip:
Haggle for everything and don't buy electrical goods or watches from the street markets. The majority of Thai's (my wife's family included) think all Farang are millionaires, so it's ok to ask stupid prices for everything. Ask for an 80% reduction on everything and start bargaining. You soon get into the swing of it.

Quite and clean Hotel for R&R.
Location, location and location and the room rate is great
9.3
I have in the past stayed at many high rated Hotels in the Asoke district in many of my trips to Bangkok; this was my first stay at Tai-Pan Hotel. It's quite and clean with great staffs that always make any request easily accomplished trouble free.
The rooms are showing some age but having a great comfortable bed which is hard to beat after a hard day’s night.
Nightlife Tip:
The Soi Cowboy is a great place to relax and have some fun.

I stayed at this hotel 5 nights. Very great location. Very near to Soi Cowboy. Also so many massage shops. But very difficult to find an atractive lady. All are either old or not prepared to come to action. The breakfast is ok but same thing for 5 days is boring. Good service every thing in the service aspect. Also very convenient in traveling around BTS Sky train, MRT and Airport link all very close by Taxi is of No use. Good Big room but small toilets.Overall I enjoyed the trip
Nightlife Tip:
If you are very atractive white can find a lady from GO Go bar. If you are not white then forget it

Clean hotel with great location!
Near both BTS and MRT stations and Terminal 21 shopping center
7.7
With a location near BTS and MRT travelling around Bangkok is made very easy. Rooms are clean and big. Breakfast is OK and nothing really to complain really. The internet is very fast too.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a pork soup stall just opposite the hotel at the junction, a delicious place to grab some quick dinner!
