Great views, Professionally run establishment.
Buffet breakfast, Clean rooms, Big views
the tai-pan is a large run in a fairly regimented, impersonal manner (the overall effect is one of a tightly run ship, with staff appearing slightly pressured, but this did not detract from the quality of my stay in this hotel. rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast was very good. ]perhaps the only downside, again, was the seemingly unrelaxed attitude of the staff, but this may well have been due to other factors and it certainly did not translate into bad manners or any lack of attention. the views are very good, and it is close to many sights etc.

Great value for money, large rooms, great location
Location in Sukhumvit, large rooms, clean
the tai pan is great value for money. it's location just off sukhumvit road near asoke junction is perfect for use of public transport, picking up cabs, or wandering around looking for food. the rooms exceeded expectations as they were large, had large windows which allowed the sunlinght to come in, and were invariably clean.

Great location; underrated hotel
Rooms are large, clean, and the service from all types of staff was on- par with a 4-star hotel in Bangkok
The hotel was in a central location in Sukhumvit near to the skytrain, shopping districs, and eateries. The room rates are very competitive and the room pictures & details do not do justice to the product on arrival. Expecations were easily exceeded.

Spacious room, convenient location
near bts skytrain and mrt. convenient location with good facilities.
i stayed at the hotel for the first time. location of hotel was convenient (easy access to skytrain and mrt). getting a taxi was also easy in the area. 7-11 located within walking distance. hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. command of english was also acceptable. pool and gym facilities were well-maintained. however, found that the dim lightings along the corridors a little dim and slightly creepy. overall an enjoyable stay! will definitely stay at tai-pan again, primarily due to its accessibility.

Lovely hotel, comfortable room
Pool, gym, spa, internet (although you have to pay for it), restaurant
I was very impressed with this hotel. Excellent spacious room, very helpful staff, fantastic massage therapist at the Spa, close to Sky Train and Metro, although smack-bang in the middle of the Red Light District (you don't notice it much unless you walk through Soi Cowboy, and even then it appears mild). Good restaurant, great value for money. I would definitely stay here again, very good, central location.
