Large Rooms
Friendly Staff, 24 hours room service
8.7
The room was very large and bed was comfortable. The swimming pool and the gym are small, but it was empty anyways so i enjoyed the swimming during the hot weather. The location is nice (about 7 minutes walk to subway station sukhumvit) and the staff were friendly. It felt like a good 4 star hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This tips are a bit outside of bangkok, but dont miss it: The river kai bridge, tiger temple and the old city of Ayutthaya (unesco world heritage).

Very good location which is near BTS and MTR.
7.7
We stayed at Tai Pan for 3 nights from 14 to 17 Jul. The service staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was also very convenient with three 7-11 stores nearby. There is a small cafeteria within short walking distance which served good breakfast. Overall, have a great time in Bangkok.

Simple hotel with friendly staff

not a very expensive hotel in downtown bangkok. decent lounge area and good food.
hotel staff were quite friendly. they entertained us one evening while it rained outside and ruined our plans.
bar downstairs has a nice band playing every night. open air section as well.
rooms are large but cosy. not very fancy, but good value for yor money.

Rooms were large and spacious. A little old but still comfortable. Value for money.
Best thing about the hotel is its close proximity to night life, train stations and the fact that it is located in Sukhumvit.

older hotel, good location
8.3
an older hotel with large well-maintained rooms. it's definitely started to show its age, but they keep things very clean and working properly. good location. close to shopping and nightlife, especially nightlife. free wireless and a pool too. no major complaints- they will probably call your room and try to sell you a timeshare or a tour, but otherwise the service is good. watch out for the taxi drivers that hang around the entrance to the hotel. they won't want to, but insist on using the meter.

solid old school property

an older hotel with large but still well-maintained rooms. good location very near the intersection of bangkok's two main train lines. close to shopping and nightlife- right next to the notorious soi cowboy and nearby to many popular night clubs. free wireless and a pool too. no complaints. i extended my stay here- easy to do with agoda.

Near to bars/clubs, 'Cheap' hotel
4.3
The first time that I booked this hotel. I thought it would be a good bargain and it came with breakfast. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out as I expected. The room is aged and 'outdated'. You have to pay extra to get the basic ki!ts such as dental kits! Breakfast is nothing to shout about. Room service went well the first time. On the 2nd time, the waiter that brought in the food was unprofessional and didn't even close my door after the food is served! Disappointed. Well, there are good things: The hotel has fast Internet speed. It has a live band outside.
