Good service, good location, no hastles As a frequent traveller to BKK I was invited to stay at the Tai Pan some time back and have not regretted changing to this hotel. This was my second stay and once again I enjoyed my time at the hotel. I recommend this hotel to any traveller looking for a good quiet hotel. The location is great for business and recreation. Rooms are large, clean and neat. Food is great. Thanks for the service.

I stayed at Tai Pan for only 1 night, but it was a pleasant stay. Check in was quick, rooms are ok, breakfast is good. The only thing about the hotel is that it can use some renovation, but any new hotel looks better than an older one...

Big rooms, Nice and clean room/hotel, good food, nice selection of TV channels I really liked Tai-Pan, it has a nice location not too far from thr main sukhumvit road and about a 5 min walk to the Ashok sky train station and a 1 min walk to Soi Cowboy. The rooms are big and nice and clean and are better than many of the 4 star hotels in Bangkok. The food in the restaurant is really nice too.
Nightlife Tip : 1 block away from Soi Cowboy, 5 min walk to the sky train station

Pool, work out center, restaurant, massage, internet. A little old looking, would be nice if they have dvd player in room. I stayed here with my fiance, it was very nice place with a lot to do get location off of Sukhumvit, staff is very friendly and speak great english, very helpful. It is a little old and could use some updating but that would just drive the price up so I hope it stay just the way it is!

I was initially attracted by the budget price . It's a very good value hotel, huge rooms, excellent internet connectivity, terrific staff and good food . The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and ghastly foam pillows . This was my first stay at the Taipan and I enjoyed it . Good location 7 minutes walk from Asoke Skytrain and Soi 23 is a pleasant tree lined avenue with some interesting restaurants and an excellent new pub called the Queen Victoria which deserved to succeed . Overall a good stay .

Good location to Soi Cowboy and Skytrain a full service hotel Charges for every little thing. They want to charge 600 baht if you invite a guest to stay after you register. Service people expect a tip for everything The hotel is dated and when I booked a room for me only I got two small twin beds in the room. The hotel is a bit dated and has too many fees compared to many new upscale boutique hotels springing up around Bangkok. The evening desk clerks can be rude. In its day it would be a great choice. This is a good hotel for family travel.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of local food stalls that are top notch

Service is so good and great location. I came back from Phuket to stay one night and whole day. Booked hotel trough Agoda again. Service was so good on first time and secon time they remebered me so even better. Between two visits, 3 weeks. Customer service at is best.

Rooms are wi-fi redi, just ask from the front desk for the password.. unlimited internet at no extra charge

Swimming pool does not get much sun. The hotel staff are very friendly and ready to help at all times. The rooms are somewhat older, but are quite large and clean.Free internet thru the WLAN system. The buffet breakfast is very good, large selection of western and Thai food and open till 10am for the late sleepers. Close to BTS and nightlife and shopping on Suhkumvit, a good locationa and good price for the value.

Very near the sky train and the mrt, friendly and accomodating staff, big rooms, internet ready per room Aircon very cold and very difficult to adjust. The hotel is conveniently located near the sky train and the mrt. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a welcome drink when you checked in. The room is big, can accomodate three (3)persons all with single bed each and still the room has enough space to move around. The room is also wi fi ready, just ask for the password at the front desk and you can have unlimited access to internet. The hotel is also near Soi Cowboy so if you want some night life, you're just a few steps away.

close to everything including night life.close walk back after drinking the hotel was a very friendly place to be.it was nicer when i got there then i thought it would be,from the review and pictures on the web page. i was surprised. the room service was very good,the laundry service was good as well,a little pricy but they did a good job non the less

Location next to Soi Cowboy and the Bradman Bar Bell persons expect tips all the time For the solo traveller looking for a world of fun and then a real old time pub for a reality check - Taipan is the hotel. Soi Cowboy is next door and then you have a number of old English Pubs and the Australian Bradman bar only minutes away. The hotel itself is fine, with huge rooms, top pool and exceptional staff. Wide range of food for breakfast, travel service right downstairs and people friendly
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Looking to get out of the girlie bar scene, check Bangkok Hash House Harriers web site and go for a run and a few beers aftewards.

Near to station and soi cowboy the hotel seems a bit old, however kept clean.
staffs are kind and friendly.
room is mostly good except the door lock is old style.
in total I feel it is reasonable and convenient hotel.
