Still the same lovely place

iam a return visitor to the dawin hotel, having stayed here on each occasion that i visit bangkok.
the hotel is centrally located in sukhumvitin soi 4 and close to entertainment and restaurants and bars.
the dawin itself is very clean with well appointed rooms and very good staff which makes ones stay all the more comfortable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Central to all amenieties and close to the freeway for an easy trip to the airport via taxi

the dawin is my new favorite place to stay in bangkok. close enough to the nightlife area to walk, but far enough to be quiet. the hotel is still new, so the rooms are nice.

Only good things to say about this hotel
Cheap, clean, v well furnished, good value food, Free Wifi that works

This hotel is about 750m up Soi 4 from Sukhumvit rd. It is very new, well furnished and immaculately clean.
Soi 4 will not be everyones cup of tea, certainly do not bring your methodist spinster aunt here, also it is probably not suitable for families with young children at the age where they are starting to ask questions.
The rooms are a little on the small size for a family but as a business traveller on my own they are perfect. The hotel coffee shop offers basic but well cooked, properly seasoned and tasty Thai and western food at very reasonable prices. There is free wifi in the rooms that worked 100% of the time, LCD TV with a reasonable selection of Thai and international programs.
My only gripe would be that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Nightlife Tip:
Soi 4 gets more and more surreal the closer you get to Sukhumvit rd. Something for those of all persuasions

The Dawin continues to be the best hotel in its class in the Soi 4/Nana area, I think. It is very well appointed, new looking, clean, staff are helpful and efficient. Rooms and bathrooms are a good size and bed comfortable. One of the better things about it is that it is small 'boutique' style hotel - so you are treated much more like a guest and there aren't dozens of other guests milling around.

This hotel is very nice for its location and the staff is very friendly.
Nightlife Tip:
Lots of bars with live bands and Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy within easy walking and skytrain distance from the hotel

i have stayed at this hotel before and really love the location as it is near to many entertainment venues such as small local bars and also the nana entertainment plaza as well as not far from soi cowboy via the skytrain which is nearby and can take you all over the city. the staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean with flat screen tv's and at least one english language movie channel on channel 19 i do believe. i would definately recommend staying at this hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
As stated above the hotel is very near to lots of nightlife activities including local bars with live bands and the Nana Entertainment Plaza as well as a very short distance from Soi Cowboy

Good stay at this hotel again. I'm lways suprised about the 500 baht deposit, even though its always returned on checkout. The room was clean , bed comfortable and everything worked as it should. No gripes but the breakfast can be improved upon but this wouldnt stop me staying here again.
Nightlife Tip:
Hillarys bar just down the road towards Nana / Sukhumvit end - great spot for live bands from 9pm most nights.

Very clean and reliable hotel with friendly staff and hassle free service. Good food, quiet rooms and location but well located for entertainment, shopping and public transport. Stay here all the time nothing to say bad about it
