Very Good location and rooms are tidy
Location and proximity to shopping areas
7.7
This is the first time I have stayed at the Dawin. I have stayed next door at the Ibis and was not to impressed by the staff their. The Dawin is a different proposition altogether, well trained courteous staff, although their English could be improved during check in.
All in all a nice hotel to stay in and a very pleasant experience.
Travel tip:
A nice hotel and not to expensive, 5 minutes walk from Sukumvit Road for the shoppers

nice and clean rooms, flat screen tv with international canals, wifi in the room, good location, fair price

i stayed 4 nights there and would go back. the hotel is new, the rooms bright, nice and clean but quite small. still - it's a nice place if somebody wants to be close to sukhumvit/nana aerea.

Friendly hotel with good basic amenities
Near to Nana Skytrain and convenient to travel to other parts of Bangkok
8.7
dawin hotel is easy to locate as it is about or a few minutes walk down soi 4 sukhumvit. can't miss it as it is on the left side of the soi just before ibis hotel. the staff is friendly and the room is clean with a good size bathroom. shower pressure is strong and aircon works fine.only deficiency is the wall is a bit thin hence you can hear the door opening and closing quite loudly if you have inconsiderate guest who slams the door. the roof top swimming pool is good for a late afternoon swim before u hit the clubs and the cafe serve delicious food. recommended for travellers who doesn't mind walking pass the naughty nana plaza nearby and yes, it's girlfriend friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can book a limousine from the hotel to Ayutthaya or Damnoen Saduak floating market from the hotel reception. It's better and cheaper than booking from tour agency. You can take your time to visit the site no wasting of time going to other places along the way as you would if u follow tour group. At Damnoen Saduak floating market skipped the boat ride, as it is a waste of time and money. It is expensive, u get splashed by dirty water and u get stuck in a boat jam in the hot weather. Tell the driver go past the pier & straight to the market where u can take great pictures, eat delicious food as u walk along the canal.

Some pros, some cons
quiet hotel, friendly staff but not always available
5.7
A decent hotel with friendly staff. However, the staff is not always around when needed. The rooms are generally clean, but there were ants roaming around the bathroom. Same problem I had the last time I stayed.
Pool is extremely small. Three strokes and you are at other end of pool. Think this is the only feature available at hotel.
The hotel is located in quiet area away from Nana Plaza. Walking to main road past Nana Plaza is less than a pleasurable experience though. Too crowded with sketchy looking tourists.

this hotel is great and is very modern and the rooms are great. the location is great, soi 10. however!!! you need to get a room that faces away from the street cos the noise is rediculous if you do not.
Nightlife Tip:
walk down the soi to beach road, jusmp on a baht bus and it will take you to walking street
