The Eugenia, an old world style architectural beauty, is embodied in a late nineteenth century, colonial-style house, charmingly decorated and tastefully furnished by its owner in the heart of downtown Bangkok for travelers with refined taste who seek to enjoy more than just a touch of the fabled East. Each of the 12-suites of The Eugenia is appointed with antique furniture and fittings. The 4-poster beds, settees, dressers and desks are of various vintage, as are the light switches and light fittings; they take you back perhaps eighty or a hundred years. The period decoration even extends to the bathtubs that are handmade of beaten copper and aluminum alloy. As is to be expected of such neo-colonial structures, there is no elevator in the building (to preserve its authenticity); the hotel apologizes to those who may miss this mode of conveyance. The D.B. Bradley
At The Eugenia, breakfast is an experience in itself. Apart from coffee and tea, 10 different types of western and oriental a la carte meals are offered every morning from 7-10am. Lunch and all day a la carte of salads, canapes, sandwiches and Asian favorites are served from 11am-9pm.
The Zheng He Lounge
The Lounge opens daily from lunch time till midnight. The afternoon set of drinks and canapes are served from 3-6pm and the after-hours sets are from 6-9pm.
Parties
The Lounge is available for hosting private parties and is suitable for parties of less than 50 persons for afternoon teas or night dining. The hotel can provide buffet catering, a full bar, and DJ or live music in accordance with your wishes.
