only ten minutes from airport, transfer service very fast bouth directions. Rooms are big and clean. Some airplane noice in the night time(location so near airport). The staff was not very pleasent.

This stay was definitely worth the money if not more. The room was spacious and very clean and tidy. The service of front desk staff was great. Brekky was minimal (bread, fried egg, sausage, tea/coffee and Juice) but served the purpose. The pick and drop from the airport was very convenient.
If you have time you must get the Thai massage at their spa. I booked the massage for 7 am at about 6.50 am as I was leaving at 9 am. The masseuse was there in 7 minutes and she was fantastic.
Definitely recommend it. I stayed for a few hours in transit for a connecting flight. It’s far from Bangkok attractions and will cost a fair amount to travel from the location.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a night market at a minutes walking distance with many food stalls. There is a 7 11 across the main road, about 5-7 minutes’ walk.
other reviewers have commented on the resorts own restaurant. I didn't try it because I had a short stay and it was closed when I arrived and departed.

Wecame late that night, so that it was good for our children to have a close by hotel.From their you can travel easy without touching BKK.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take a taxi, to bus stand, and from their go cheap and easy to south east Thailand.

Our third stay this trip at Thongta. Overall, we remain happy with our stay. Stayed here instead of downtown -- still took airport link train into city. Very easy and fast. Room was good as usual -- slight problem with slow drain and toilet, but hotel quickly fixed these. Had good dinners in restaurants in neighbourhood. Hotel recommended.
Restaurant Tip:
Catch songthieu (7 THB) or taxi to great BBQ restaurant (large and obvious) about 5-10 min down Lat Krabang Rd (come out of Thongta lane, turn right at main road).

Very good hotel for staying close to the airport

a very good shuttle service to and from the airport. have stayed here several times and is always good for the price about. breakfast is ok. make sure you have a reservation and use their site if you want to extend your stay as their staff can be a mixed bag.
by the way the vip rooms cost baht more and really isn't all that different from the single room. i think you get a slightly bigger room, a table, and bath robes, slippers. oddly, no mini bar item in my vip room.
Hotel Feature Tip:
No elevator in the standard hotel, the newer "superior" hotel has an elevator.

This hotel is very close to airport, if you arrive BKK in either early or midnight, it is good place. But nothing is around there, and very far from downtown.

Stayed here a lot in the past, this time not so good. Had to wait a long time for the transfer from the airport, never had to wait long in the past. Paid for a superior room in the new building but was given a standard room in the original building instead. The fitting in the shower to hold the shower head up was broken as well. Everything else was okay,wake up call on-time and an efficient transfer back to the airport.
Might try another hotel early February when I'm back in the area.
