Walking distance to many tourist spots and good price

blanket is clean but a bit old

My stay in unico is very pleasant one except i ask for a non smoking room but they gave me a smoking room instead. The hotel is conveniently located at about 15min walking distance to BTS and one of bangkok famous night spot. So is a very good budget hotel for tourist. The hotel lunch buffet is very cheap at only 69baht. although the variety of the buffet line is very little, but with this price is still worth it.

Nightlife Tip : walking distance to one of bangkok famous night spot

Excellent customer service

Things out of hotel control such as who patrons return from a night out with (loudly)

I stayed at Unico four nights with the intention of staying one and then finding something from there. The hotel manager is amazing and goes out of his way to accomodate and make sure hotel guests are happy. There is a really good lunch buffet for 69 baht! It isn't hot, however (they don't turn on the heat under it to keep it warm (?) There is a swimming pool, the room was quiet and comfortable, all front desk people polite and very helpful, and security is good. Can't beat paying a low price for this hotel, very good, will stay there whenever I come through Bangkok -

Travel tip : There is a water taxi across the street that goes right to Putnim market and Platinum Plaza, which is close to MBK. The Sky Train is walking distance, and the Soi area is right there -

Heart of the city and also I booked for a non smoking room. When we arrive there was no available room for us (non smoking). They upgrade our room into the next level, bigger room and non smoking. We were satisfied and very happy with there services, aside from friendly staff they have a good choices of breafast.

None

Over all stay we are satisfied from the services rendered to us; from upgrading our room into bigger size, friendly staff, and very good breakfast.

Cheap buffet lunch - 69 BHT all u can eat. Good aircon, hot water in shower.

Dirty windows. Full bathroom gets wet when u shower. Very small pool, no jacuzzi. Small size room.

Fairly good location - 10 min walk to Sukhmvit Road, Nana BTS. Many eating places nearby. Can take the klong (canal) ferry across the road from hotel to go various places for 12-20 BHT. Reception folks got more helpful as time went on. Good room service. Wifi and 2 bottles water daily.

good position good breakfast elevator close to sky rail

no window taxi to airport too expensive Hard to find

The hotel was a bit hard to find by the address. The room was a good size but without window. The room was clean, modern and good hot water. Buffet breakfast was good but the food was not kept hot. 5 minute walk to the sky rail.Close to good eating places. We would stay here again.

Clean rooms, good price

A bit out of the way

The hotel is nice and clean, lobby feels like a 4-star but you pay 2-star prices. Buffet lunch is real cheap (only 69 baht). Swimming pool is nice and clean too. Its location is however not so good, kind of out of the way from anywhere that you can find decent food and shopping (about 25 minutes walk to find some decent food and the nearest shopping center (Robinson) is about 40 minutes walk away (kind of too near for taxi, a bit far to walk). The bed mattress certainly need improvement. There are bugs on them and if you get into one that has them (like me), you will need to make some special arrangement (like find another bedsheet to cover it.

Very clean room. Good buffet lunch (for 69 baht)

Old bedsheets, bugs on the bed. A bit out of the way.

Stayed there for 2 nights. 2 different rooms, delux and standard. Both are good value for the money you pay. Hotel is more than 3 stars actually but for the price of 2 star. Rather unbelievable. The rooms are clean and bathroom has good water pressure. Bedsheets are old and one of the beds I slept in had bugs which bit me at night. Location is not too convenient but if you don't mind walking 20 minutes to the central Sukhumvit area, it's worthwhile. A reasonably good deal overall.

Personnel was friendly

The room did not have window view, there was a building next to it

Regarding to the location, it was a little bit far from the temple and attraction area. It has a easy access to the subway system. The room was clean, but it did not have a view from the window, because there was a building next to it. I could not try the restaurant food, because it was Dec. 25th and they offer a free buffet.

Good location but the room I stayed was too small Guest Rating: 7.3

1. Good location. 2. Affordable price.

1. Hotel room too small. 2. The staff at the reception wasn't so friendly.

I have stayed in this hotel for second time already and coming this 18 Jan 2010, I will stay there again. Generally, I was quite happy with the hotel because it offers a good price for a good location. However, the room I stayed was too small and the staff at the reception wasn't so friendly either. But that don't bother me much.

Air con very tired. Room with no window very chlaustrophobic.

The hotel is in the heart of the city

Small hall way

The hotel is good no complain and the staff are so friendly and helpful and they really offer their help. Breakfast was serve in the morning and all was fresh. It was really a choice for me to stay in this hotel because it is close to Bumrungrad Hospital.

I was very happy with my stay at the Unico Leela Hotel. It is not expensive, has a varied choice of meals, room service (which I used on a regular basis). The stuff is very, very friendly and helpful. I also made use of the massage facility at the hotel, which I really enjoyed. Taxi's, scooters or Tuk-Tuks are always outside the hotel, so no waiting time.

I don't have any complaints.

I was looking for a hotel, which wasn't too expensive and the Unico Leela just suited my needs. The international hospital is just across the road...in case you need some cosmetic surgery...

Travel tip : Some of the major shopping centres are close by..you still need to catch a taxi, scooter or Tuk-Tuk. As mentioned earlier the hospital is across the road (walking distance), which was convenient for me as I had treatments in Bangkok.

Location to Sky Train

First Impression = Poor Reception Service If you have a laptop, you have to go to front lobby to access the free internet service. You canot use laptop internet service in your room...very inconvient I think!

Initially, when I approached the front reception desk, I was not greeted with friendly service. I did not recieve a smile as did the other patrons, who were there before me. When I complained about the initial greeting and then wrote a statement on the Agoda voucher about the service. The reception clerk made a vocal remark that appeared to be negative on my behalf in her language to another employee behind the desk. I was disapointed in the room arrangement...Example; The TV was facing the window and when it is daylight, the light from outside distorts the view of the screen, therfore, unable to see the TV program. It appears the front desk clerk gave me a the worst room in the hotel from my impression...
