If a central location with a reasonable price tag is what you have in mind, then this could make for a nice accommodation choice when in Bangkok. where to start, no staff willing to check me in, no help with suitcases, do directions to room.

where to start, no staff willing to check me in, no help with suitcases, do directions to room. Room filthy and smelly. Dirty brown , grey colour. Bath room cold and water power poor. Roof top pool disgusting, sun lougers from the 70's and ifyou needed some assistance none to be found...terrible place...booked for 9 survived 3 and left !!

Travel tip : chong nonsi BTS NEAR BY.

A little bit of a walk from the train station

I was really impressed with the Unico Grande Silom, on arrival we were upgraded to a superior room which was impressively large with separate sleeping and living areas. The room was well equipped. The buffet breakfast offered a good choice and fired us up for a day exploring Bangkok's shopping district which was coveniently close.

big rooms, friendly staff, great value for money, location,

no air con on corridors, drinks expensive at the bars

i think i may of found my new bangkok base hotel, great location right on silom road 10 minutes walk from patpong etc. huge studio apartment type rooms, we were staying with a young baby and the staff could not of been more helpful or friendly, i come to thailand a few times a year and will definatley be coming to the unico grande silom (i stayed there twice on this trip).

Travel tip : the road outside is not very suitable for pushchairs, but that goes for everywhere in thailand! ha ha ha
