The staff were great.. The rooms are very clean and cleaning staff very helpful. Laundry done very nicely.

The area - out of the way. In the business district. The pool area, breakfast menu.

The staff were lovley. The rooms clean and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Found it a bit out of the way. Got caught a few times with transport. Foundbest way to go, metered taxi. If they don't use meter don't get in. I found the breakfast menu a bit boring. We stayed for a week, and enjoyed it. I would probably stay again. It is easy walking distance to sky train. And, handy for the hospital. On the whole weenjoyed our stay.

Really good price for all the facilities it offered.

The front desk staffs were mean..

I got the room just a few hours before i checked in and when i checked in the receptionists were surprise and blamed agoda as well as me for buying the room in a haste but apart from that everything was fine.

Located in the heart of the town. Halal for Muslims available in nearby Arab restaurants.

Rooms too old.

The staff at Unico Leela Hotel was not friendly at all specially a read head person at the reception in the evenings was very rude and actually reminded us in a very rude manner that the rooms were worth more than what we paid through Agoda.

Good location

Small rooms, uncomfortable beds, quite seedy

I was upgraded to the executive room, and to be honest, I would not have liked to see the normal room. The bed I slept in was so misshaped, I didn't sleep well. I will not go back there, I know it is cheap and the service was adequate but it really had a very seedy feeling.

Price

Needs a refurb

Over the past few years I have stayed at the Unico Leela on many occassions. Prior to this time I have always given it a positive review but now I feel that it is well past its best. It is in serious need of refurbishment and a total overhaul on the funishings. Add to this the building work taking place next door and sad to say i will give it a miss for the forseeable future.

excellent service/clean rooms breakfast included good room service/great menu close to nearby markets and skyrain

bit noisy specially at weekends.

A reasonably priced good allround hotel. Close to Skytrain access and markets. The rooms are clean and well appointed although a little cramped, the service is friendly and helpful. The breakfast inclusion is excellent, room service has a great Western/Eastern style menu. The food is very good. It can be a bit noisy, there were some renovations when I was there, there seems to be not much insulation in walls from noise, even from corridor outside. That is really my only gripe! Otherwise aa a woman travelling on my own for business I found it perfect!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The food stalls are excellent & all around. Have a green coconut drink on a hot day! Take a Tuk tuk to Skytrain station. Check out markets afternoon/evening along Sukhomvit soi 4 (Nana) to soi 21 (Asoke)

Good location

Needs refurbishment

Have stayed here on a number of occassions and have liked the place and the facilities before. Sadly as well as suffering from building noise from next door the hotel is in need of an upgrade or makeover. I honestly hope that this is carried out soon as it is a nice hotel to stay at.

I was very satisfied, above my expectations Guest Rating: 8.7

Close to the to shoppoing street of Sukhumvit, but enough away from it to enjoy a quiet environment. Very close to Bumrungrad Hospital, one of the best in Bangkok. Rooms are fine (I stayed in two), with most amenities.

Some rooms, as was mine, have no window to the outside world. The outside appearance is not that great. There was construction going on (which didn't bother me)

The hotel is small-scale, although still one of the medium-large hotels. The atmosphere is nice, the staff speaks English and is very helpful. I enjoyed the swimming pool, the restaurant (economically priced buffet lunch and happy hour 2 for 1 drink offered), the lobby and restaurant's free wifi and used the tailor and travel services. It's convenient distance to Sukhumvit shopping and access to the highways is very reasonable. Also the location is close to Pantip plaza - you could almost walk. The rooms was spacious, king-size bed, fridge, full bath room, sofa and desk alsl reasonably priced. I do not hesitate to recommend it to singles and couples.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very good location for those who have appointments in Bumrungrad.

Close to Bumrungrad

No shops, bars or restaurants close by. Longish walg to Skytrain.

The hotel and its facilities were as advertised in Agoda. However, my stay was spoiled by the very bad attitude of the night manager (only male receptionist). I questioned why I only received free drinking water on the first day of my stay. He told me only Executive rooms got free water after the first day. I pointed out that this was unusually mean-spirited and that I ahd never stayed in a Thai hotel no matter how inexpensive that didn't offer free water. His attitude and replies were dismissive and insolent and spoiled an otherwise pleasant stay. The same person gave me his attitude when I asked the cause of loud explosions nearby (which turned out to be road works). His anser was that the noise was coming from outside the hotel and so was not his responsibility. This fellow needs some serious rehabilitation in the meaning of 'hospitality.'

Shopping Tip : If you want to go to Pantip, you can walk North out of the hotel and catch a motorcycle taxi at Makkasan. This avoids a very long trip down Nana, along Ploenchit then up by World Trade Center.

Foyer looks excellent, keen door staff

Room was getting old

First expectations of Unico were high after looking in the foyer but then found the rooms are old and outdated. After I got over that I was reasonably happy with the hotel it is clean, good location nice staff, basically a good stay.
