the hotel is wenderful very good team work in the hotel. we ask to get room at morning and we get to the hotel at 6.00 am and the room was ready to as. after a long hours flight is was great.
the room very nice. the hotel is in the rush place and after we walk all day long and touring the area, in the first step un the lobby you can smile. the breakfast is very good the worker is graet and let us feel very welcome. the room is very nice. the hotel next to all place king palace, standing boda and marketing place. we very enjoy. reccomended western hotel

near Kao Shan road, but it's too expensive as it worth...very old hotel and wood wall, there are many better hotels there.many bar around this hotel, so a little noisy at night till 2am. it's very convinient to eat and drink. also very safty.

In the center of kohasan area where all night life is going on. Good clean rooms and recomended to stay in if you want to be in the center of the backpackers night life. You can hear some noise from the streets. It is a nice place to stay at if you want to be in the center of the backpackers night life. If you dont mind the noise from the streets at night when you go to sleep then take that hotel. I didnt like the breakfast that much but think that it is ok compared to other places. Good big rooms with air con, tv and shower. Big king size bed and a view to the main street if you take the front rooms.

Bathroom was not in good condition, specially faucets were leaking in the bathroom. I don't like the hotel room,bathroom faucets were leaking by getting old, reception staff was in good help but the room was not in the good condition. I was expecting more for the price I paid for the room. I think I have waste my money on this poor hotel.

Brilliant location

me and 2 of my friend booked a triple room here. The hotel is situated on the road parrallel to the koh san rd. Which was and ideal haven away from the hussle and bussle.
The room we booked was very clean and tidy , the room itself was massive with 3 propper single beds.
The hotel had its own pool which was great to jump in to before heading into the crazyness of the koh san rd.
Staff were polite and friendly
Breakfast wasnt great but there was a 7 11 accross the rd.
Over all it was a brilliant stay.

Nightlife on your doorstep The music from the street might bother to those trying to sleep. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon in a Queen Room. The room was large enough that we weren't cramped as too was the bathroom.
Everything was very clean and air conditioned despite the hotel rooms being a little dated.
The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast banquet was aplenty.
Other room features were: TV, minibar, in room safe, tea/coffee facilities and there was a hotel pool as well although we didn't use it.
Viengtai Hotel is in a prime position for shops, restaurants, bars and food stalls and is literally 5 mins walk to the action of Khoa San Rd.
We would definitely stay here again.
Nightlife Tip : Beware the alco buckets on Khao San rd - you might think they're not that strong but they sure are!

room smelt like stale smoke. the ceiling in the shower was really low my boyfriend had to duck down the whole time. very funny. over all the stay was fine. the location is great. right in the heart of the action but can escape the crazy. if your wanting to stay in the area i recommend staying at the Cha Cha Villa. It is Far nicer in every way for the same price.
Nightlife Tip : make sure your drinks only contain filter ice (round with hole in the middle) the crushed ice, mainly found from roadside vender cocktails and buckets can make you very sick.

If you have to stay in Kaosan even if you do not wish to, then this hotel is your choice. You can forget that you are in Kaosan. But make sure you choose the room not facing the street. If you do, you will end up hearing live music from three different places until 2am. And I do not like walking on the carpet with bare foot. Who wants to wear shoes inside a room when you are in Thailand? Not me.

Bathroom was a little old but fully functional. The hotel was well situated with an easy walk to khoasan road and night markets. Staff were friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. Good value for money although not luxurious. If you want to be in clean, decent accommodation in middle of the tourist hub without the noise of some of the cheaper / smaller hotels then definitely the place to stay.

Great value accommodation,close to a lot of the history of BKK easy and interesting walks to those historical areas. Room clean staff very helpful breakfast very good value. I can't say I have anything bad to say about this hotel, for its price point it is excellent value.
The only thing that I could complain about is the cost of the WiFi. Travel tip : Pleanty of restaurants close by, in fact everything you would need is within a five minute stroll.

Taxi service in hotel is a steal.
I first stayed at Viengtai 4 years ago and returned this summer. The hotel is always a safe choice. In both cases, I used it as a base on my way to and from the provinces. It has the benefit of a central location and a reasonable degree of comfort (and safety) while charging decent rates.

location, price, breakfast This hotel is in the heart of the interesting part of Bangkok, minutes from the Khoa San Rd and close to the Palace etc. it has a great pool and very friendly staff. The breakfast has improved recently. it offers excellent value for money in a capital city. I have stayed there several times and every visit has been very good. strongly recommended.

Within walking distance from many sightseeing places such as King's Palace, and different pagodas. In center of Bangkok, lots of nightlife.
Room was clean and tidy. Staff's service was good.
The hotel exceeded our expectations.
