When I arrived here, I was so surprised because it's really near with Khaosan rd., so I could enjoy there, but the hotel is not popular in Bangkok, so if somebody ride on taxi such as toktok, they don't know it such as the position. The booking money is normal and the breakfast is really good, but the system and service is not good, but you first think about money and then the position. If you consider it, it will be good hotel for you.
Really good position for foreigner because it's on the road to start Khaosan rd and good breakfast.
The utility is noot good. When I stay there, the door is out of order and then if I call the guest calling, nobody answer.
- Nightlife Tip : It's on the Rd. such as Khaosan Rd..

In my opinion, Viengtai Hotel is located in good place. Also most of guest can enjoy their vacation. If you want to take a good massage you could take a massage near to Hotel. The hotel is more quiet than other hotels.
The hotel is located near Khaosan.
We must worry about tuk-tuk (kind of auto-bike-taxi). After the arrival the driver request taxi fare each person so I must pay four times the fare. Hotel must notify overcharge danger of taxi.

If you can get the deluxe room for under $55 it's worth it, otherwise Id say shop around, because there are others - perhaps not on the web but others that offer the same amenities but are a lot cheaper.

We really enjoy our stay at Vientai Hotel Bangkok this summer. Altogether we stayed at the hotel two times and in fact moved from another Hotel in Bangkok since we enjoyed our stay there last time. Our son (nine years old) spent much time in the pool swimming and diving. The staff where professional and manage to assist us in all matters. The breakfast buffe with abundance of dishes where really appreciated by all of us.
Thanks for an unforgettable stay,
Claes Sundin with family.
The pool area, the staff, nice part of the town, area.
Rooms are to dark and a bit run down. The veiw from the rooms. The Tuk-tuk drivers outside the hotell where a pain.

Don't take the taxi driver that offers trips from inside the hotel. Just go out and take one of the taxis (not tuk tuks) near by. Prices from the hotel taxis are pretty steep.
- Nightlife Tip : Just across from the hotel (a bit to the left if you have your back to the hotel exit) you will find Cinnamon Club - stays open till late (like after 2 am when all the other places closes). Walk out of the hotel and approximately 300 meters up to the left and you will find a two-storey bar with a balcony on the 2nd floor. Loads of Thai youth and a great opportunity to meet some locals. You might be the only foreigner in there as everbybody else seems to flock to the overpriced places on The K Road.
