STAY AWAY its rubbish, room smelt of smoke no winders ,in 38hrs and 5 calles i couldnt get a pillow or a bedside lamp fixed.and after aggreing to pay a 1/2 day room to use the room till 8pm they tried to charge a full day or the police would be called, there bluff failed when i said yes call them and they backed down. and the lifes out of order or not working properly

Confusion on my room booking and I had to pay extra, however, Agoda have helped me out in that aspect. The first 2 days breakfast was busy but plentiful. The weekend was different I had to return both mornings waiting until after the huge rush was over - both times there was no seating and once the crowd went there was limited food. Not a good idea to be there over a weekend.
Hot showers great. Room was clean.

Sub-standard hotel, not friendly staff

1) Standard rooms are without windows!
Looks like a storeroom.
2) Hotel is old.
3) Wireless internet in my room did not work on my 1st night.
4) Staff is not friendly or helpful.
5) Lift sometimes take many minutes to arrive.
6) Have 2 computers in the lobby for customer use at
100 baht per hour. They are usually not turned on and
I had to turn them on and log on - waste my time when
I am in a hurry.
7) This is an "economy hotel".
8) Traffic is very heavy on Yarawat Road and surrounding
area, so if you are wishing to get out or in, expect
some delay. Also, not a good idea to have friends
pick you up. My transport took nearly 2 hours to get
to the hotel at night - busiest time.
9) My friend who stayed at Furama Exclusive for only
USD$3 more had a big modern room with great facilities.
10) Not recommended.
Nightlife Tip:
Rama IX Rd and Soi Nana area has interesting nightlife.

My family have been staying in this hotel for the past 15 years, its location is very convenient because it is vey near the cheap and good Sampeng market. Food is available 24/7. The hotel is sandwiched between 7-Eleven and Watsons. It is about few minutes drive to the toll-way, which leads to the airport.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The famous Golden Buddha is located a stone away from the hotel.

The waitress & managers having in the White Orchid Hotel is extremely terrible. The waitress & managers will start chasing you left or right for demand payment for breakfast buffet. The worse part is they dont ask you but when you about to take the lift back to the room will ask like the loan shark for buffet payment.
Furthermore, if you ask for milk and other items shortage in the buffet from the waitress & managers. They will ignore you like looking at the Alien.

a simple no frill hotel in china town. room ok, aircon working well. not much facility, but easy check-in. if just a 1 to 2 days stop-over in bangkok, not a bad choice. however it is not near the lively sukhumit area and not near any mass rapid transport system, as such need to bargain a lot with a tuk-tuk driver. as such better take a metered-taxi. the hotel offers baht buffet dinner but better try at the many good chinese restaurant around the area. don't be late in checking out(check-out time 12nn) as the counter staff will charge you half day price even if you are late for 10 min.

We stayed at this hotel for one night just for the seafood and birdnest here. Very good location, with many stalls or eateries nearby.

Clean room, clean bathroom and clean towels. Aircon a bit noisy. Only have twin rooms. TV have quite many channels, compared to the 4 stars hotel we stayed the previous night. Try not to leave any sweet stuff on the tables, as it will attract ants. The breakfast provided was quite average.
Nightlife Tip:
Very cheap and fresh seafood, cost abt Baht 480 for both of us. We ate at the stalls where the workers wore green uniforms.
