Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel, Bangkok

Location to Sukhumvit, Bumrungrad Hospital & Skytrain station. Very clean, modern, good-sized rooms, excellent service. Nice breakfast buffet, very efficient room service. I use it regularly because I need to bring my daughter to the Bumrungrad every 3 months. It's a 2 minute walk to the hospital and a 5 minute walk to Nana station to visit the shops.

The Zenith Hotel considers itself a 'Prime Boutique Hotel', i have to disagree. There was nothing 'boutique' about it. It's big hotel with a strange layout. Guests come in at street level and you have to take a lift up to the lobby where reception is. The hotel in general was tired and old looking but the reception and lobby area are OK and modern and look like its been renovated recently. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location in my opinion has both pros and cons. It's located right where the sleaziest part of town is and close to where the action is ( if that's what you're looking for) and BTS. In fact i would not recommend this hotel for solo woman travelers. Our room was adequate and comfortable enough. A little noisy as we had adjoining room to another and there seemed to be a a lot of slamming of doors and people speaking loudly in the corridoor. The pool is the best part of this hotel- away from all that is going on downstairs. For the money we paid, we've stayed in newer and much better hotels also cheaper. Also there is no WIFI available. In your room, you have to connect your machine to a cable and modem- not very modern or convienient!!

I have now stayed at the Zenith Sukhumvit hotel on a number of occasions. I first selected the hotel for its proximity to the Bumrungrad hospital. This proximity continues to be the main reason I stay there. I have tried several other hotels in the area over the years and have found that none of them to be as good value for money. The hotel is certainly not anything to write home about, but it functions reasonably well and most of the staff try very hard to make your stay enjoyable. In addition to being in a very good location for the hospital, it is also easy to access by car or taxi from ( and to) the airport. It is fairly close to the elevated train transport system. It is in a good area for shopping, dining and entertainment.
