Great location and nice room

Near Thapea Gate, very convenient and easy to find, Breakfast is good, very quiet, and facility si new and clean.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It costs 100B from train station to the hotel by Tutu, almost every driver knows it. Bicycle can be rent just on the right side of the hotel front door, and the boss is nice.

nice hotel and good location

This hotel was in a nice location of Chiang Mai. The pool of the hotel was nice although there wasn't many long chairs around the pool. The staff were really nice and easy to deal with. the rooms were simple, but spacious and clean. Hotel had a gym and a spa.

we found the bed a little too hard for us. staff were friendly and helpfull, the car service was good, driver was pleasant and drive us to go to tiger kingdom. the pool was nice and clean however there was only 6-8 chairs. the rooms were simple but clean. lobby was very nice and clean. location is also good. on a main road with many restaurants.

I would add a few lounging chairs by the pool. Staff were friendly and helpfull, the car service was good, driver was pleasant and drive us to go to tiger kingdom. Great location, friendly staff

i've stayed in many places in chiang mai before, but none were as conveniently located to my points of interest as amora hotel. i think that's they key factor and the staff is beyond friendly. the beds are comfortable and the view from the higher floors is pleasant.

a hotel at the tipping points
the price for what you get is excellent

this hotel is like a mid seventies holiday inn that needs a little tender loving care. its very close to all t he action and do get the breafast included. it was just great with enough food to get through to supper. great north american and asian options. the price is right but you pay heavily for services like internet or travel arrangment and laundry. luckily there is a 24hour internet cafe and laundry three doors down as you leave the hotel and you can bargain with the drivers outside or just down the street for outings. it has the coldest swimming pool and being canadian that;s saying a lot
Travel tip:
This place is right down by the old city and makes a great place to stay if you want to be in all the action

Great location, nice refurbishment

I had previously stayed at the Amora in 2008, and was pleasantly surprised that the lobby had been completely refurbished. The rooms were clean, however it is obvious with the downturn in tourism there are not enough staff to cope with demand. The rooms were cleaned about 5pm each day and the beer garden was only opened if a staff member showed up.
The hotel has a nice pool area, however the pool bar is closed, again presumably due to a lack of staff. The water in the pool at this time of year is freezing as the hotel shiloeds the pool from the sun.
The location of the hotel is excellent, within easy walking distance of the night market, the old city and lots of restaurants and bars.

Overall the hotel was really nice. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. We choose it because of the affordable cost and central location. However FYI...the rooms were a little old and the pool pretty cold. Not much of a gym. Just a few pieces of equipment.
