Rooms are spacious and in a nice lanna style. We enjoyed the spa as well.

Location: quite isolated and difficult to find Restaurant: not good, poor breakfast Service: people seem not experienced

Globally we do not recommend this hotel. It was quite hard to find. The first taxi we took from town to arrive at the hotel could find it after several tries, but some taxis could not find it even with the address and card of the hotel (we had to ask our way several time to the police station). Rooms and style of the hotel is great and it was a really good surprise when we discovered the hotel. The beds are a bit tough though. Restaurant is not good especially for western food (salads are really small and poor, burgers coming straight from microwave). Breakfast is really poor and people serving seem to be very young without any experience. You have to ask for some more juice, tea, bread,... when the basket is empty. Mandatory New Year dinner, Thai food, was very expensive for what we got.

Restaurant Tip : Nice and good mediterranean restaurant, mi casa, 5 minutes walk from the hotel, even if a bit expensive.

Ayatana is a relaxed and homely resort. Staff are friendly, kind and helpful. And the design of room and garden are so nice.

Location of the resort is quite inconvenient. It is located quite deep inside residential area without any obvious sign board.

I love this place because of its particular design of room and garden. Also, I was impressed by the friendly staff too. I totally enjoyed and relaxed my stay this time. But, just one point, I hope the freshness of food should be improved. Maybe, it is because of the low season as some food was not really fresh as I found. Overall, I still like the place and I hope I will have a chance to visit again.

Restaurant Tip : Near by the resort, there is a street named Nim Man He Min road, which is full with nice and good restaurants. Especially Cafe De Nimman, the foods are tasty and cheap.

Super customer services that made my stay so relaxed and memorable. The staff always offer good ideas as well as sunny smiles. They really care.

Location of the hotel is the only weakness I can think of. To be honest, its location is not that bad, very close to the airport and 10 minutes car drive to the old city.

Overall, we had a great stay. The customer services are unparalleled, which definitely is the strength of this hotel. Although it is a boutique style, we basically had what we needed and wanted during our 4 days 3 nights there. Their coach service is fabulous. A slight hiccup we experienced is there was a power outage one morning for almost an hour. Other than that, you would find it really value of money.

Restaurant Tip : Remember to try Riverside Restaurant and Good View Restaurant. Scrumptious and cheap!

Very nice. Big room, relax atmosphere, swimming pool, comfortable place, and warm service.

Only a little bit far from city.

This is a really nice hotel which I ever been. Since a little bit far from city, the hotel arrange the transfer to air station and city. The hotel have very nice environment and nice room. Including the nice swimming room and warmly service. We really like this hotel and want check in next time. In hotel we feel really relaxing and comfortable.

It's fun and cheap to join Thai cooking class, and worth joining the local tour to the 'Long Neck.' Don't forget to go to the Saturday/Sunday market during the weekend (from 5pm till midnight), everything is so cheap there and the quality is not bad.

An above average boutique hotel that gives you everything you need for a quiet holiday.about 20 mins away from the centre of Chiangmai. Not much to do around and about the hotel.

Travel tip : Do not try to do the Golden Triangle in one day it is much further than quoted in the travel brochures. The Elephant Camps are a must!

As the hotel is a bit outside of Chiang Mai be patient with the taxi and tuk tuk drivers - even they might get a bit lost.

Restaurant food was very good. Location is a little out of the way but there is a shuttle service to the town centre a few times per day. It was a little difficult to find a taxi/tuk tuk that would take us back to the hotel at reasonable prices due to it being out of the main city centre.

Stay in an upstairs room, eat out rather than at the resort. Take advantage of the beautiful swimming pool.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitely go up to the big temple on the hill, Doi Suthep, as the hotel isn't far away from there (Ayatana is situated just off Suthep Road).

I recommend this hotel for those that want to relax, friendly staff, fantastic accommodation.

None

This Hotel is quite a bit away from the centre of Chiang Mai, in a quite road, I would say that if you want to relax chill out this is the place to be, you can also climb the mountain close by for fantastic views of the city. I would be back, and I'll bring my wife to enjoy the full spa facilities, great people at the Ayatana.

Hotel Feature Tip : Enjoy the Spa facilities to the full

Great hotel with a very pleasant staff, we were upgraded to a suite and it was very nice.

A little far away from most everything. beware of the the tuk tuk drivers who will try to rip you off when they see where you came from.

This was a last second choice and it turned out to be great. The breakfast buffet was super and there was always free goodies in a separate coffed shop type room. The staff upgraded us to a very nice suite and we were able to entertain several friends who live in Chiang Mai.

Travel tip : Tuk tuks and taxis are hard to get to as you have to walk to the main street to find one, or wait for one after the front desk makes a call - this will cost you extra by the drivers, not the hotel.

Small number of rooms set around an attractive pool. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great if you want to base yourself in the hotel and only make the odd trip into the center of town.

Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel offers free airport transfers.
