This Chiang Mai hotel features just nine rooms in six villas, but all of them were designed to interact with nature and the Ping River. If activities like listening to a symphony of chirping frogs and birds in an early morning fog appeals to you, then the Baan Nam Ping Hotel is your type of place. It is actually about 40 minutes from the city, but airport transfer (surcharge) is available. Other freebies include fruit, coffee, tea, water, Internet access, kayaking and bicycling and the remote garden location only adds to the concept.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot, staff memeber Addy was awesome
Very far away from practically every form of entertainment/dining in chiang mai. great place if you just want a beautiful place to stay and relax and read but dont expect to get anywhere without hiring one of the staff from teh hotel to drive you somewhere (always at least 300 baht). owner of the hotel is quite rude.
