Staff, scenery, romantic getaway Out of the way, lack of activities, The Belle Villa is a beautiful resort, up in the mountains far from the city, but close enough for a shuttle if needed. The area is extremely scenic, the resort is quiet and tranquil. For those looking for nightlife and activiy, this is not the place. But, for couples wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is perfect. The resort is not ultra-modern, the doors still use conventional keys! But, the rooms are beautiful, service great and it is a place to revive one's soul. During our stay (one night) it seemed that there was only a few other guests at the resort. It may have been the off season in March. The grounds are beautiful, pools inviting and the food very good. It is a bit of a drive from the city, but well worth it if you're looking for and escape and place to get away from it all.
Travel tip : The Belle Villa offers elephant rides right at the resort. It's something a little unique and different.

Remote, isolated, high in the mountains.
Hotel provides a cheap and regular bus service to the town and an airport transfer.
Great hotel food
Hotel staff service is AAA

45 minutes journey to Chang Mai
Spa is expensive
For a very peaceful, quiet relaxing holiday this hotel cannot be beat. You really relax and unwind in this mountain oasis. With its tropical pool and beautiful gardens you drift away into your won world.
The journey from the airport and to town is a cumbersome one, but worth it. Chang Mai has much to offer including night bazaars, fantastic restaurants and bars, temples and wildlife sanctuaries.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a tuk tuk for the day for arounfd £10 and see all of chang mai. The Zoo is fantasitc.

Beautiful surrounding. Wonderful and very attentive staff members Not much to do other than laze around. They should have an event manager. We love the surrounding. Room is very spacious and clean and what stood out was the staff members .. they are very attentive and has a good level of the English Language. They are very accommodative and work very well as a team.. from reception, concierge to restaurant floor. Though the location is up at the mountain, they provide transport at 50Baht per person for a return trip which is very reasonable. They were also very flexible with drop-off and pick-up points. We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner with a choir team of Thai children singing Xmas carols in Thai! .. and Santa and Santarina on a elephant came to visit! We thought that was really nice of them to organise these special treats for their guests. Food was very well prepared and they were actually attentive to 'no msg, sugar and low sodium' request.
Nightlife Tip : Maybe they could have some night entertainment, music?
