location is great, staff is wonderful

my room was fine, what you would expect from a quality hotel. the staff was wonderful. any request i had was taken care of. the location is great, inside the "wall," but felt like i was miles away from the outside world with the beautiful courtyard and walls surrounding the hotel. the tour desk was outstanding. she easily arranged great custom trips for me. the drivers she used were also wonderful.

Lovely hotel, good location, great breakfast

We booked this hotel for a very good rate and were pleasantly surprised by the quality offered. The size of the rooms was very generous, the view to the back garden superb and the breakfast very good. The services were ok, but the staff sometimes has challenges understanding English, so if you need their help with bookings or organization, make sure you make yourself understood. The location is ok, within walking distance from the major attraction sites.

Peaceful setting, great location

I would definitely recommend this hotel - the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Nice rooms with huge bathroom and all rooms look out over the garden courtyard and it is so peacefull but step outside the hotel and you are right in the old city so a great location. I will definitely stay there again if I visit Chiang Mai. Lovely pool for relaxing and restaurant serves good food and very reasonably priced.

Room is large but the smell is musty. I feel uncomfortable in the room and I request to the staff but didn't get improving. Service is soso, the other hotels that I stayed in Chiang mai are much better.

Nice hotel with great room and food
The Thais way of decoration and design from lobby to rooms. Full of green and nice food.

overall check in and out service are very good. room is very big and nice. quiet environment and very suitable for business traveller. the restaurant serve nice local thai food and taste good. the b'fast is having reasonable variety and nice.

A very nice little hotel good service, great breakfast. the beds are a little hard but that seems to be the norm for this part of the country. In the middle of everything, restaurants, bars, and travel agents.
Shopping Tip:
The restaurant to the left as you go out the front door is good, very cheap, but the beer is not as cold as I would like.

Expensive but worth your money
Room service is not too expensive and there is a huge bathtub in the room!

It was a short stay (just one night) but the room was lovely. Very cozy and clean. If you have the money, then book this hotel. Perfect if you want to have a lazy night and book some room service! Prices are not too expensive. For 300 baht I had an appetizer, mean dish and cocktail!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Call 0871889063 (Sutin) for a very good guide to bring you everywhere you want for a good price! Day treks, jungle treks, handicraft village, non-touristy places name it and he will be your guide. He is polite and speaks good English!

We enjoyed our stay the only complaint was that the bed was a little hard.
