The room was pretty good quality for the price and was nice and clean when we checked in. The hotel tour desk/guide was fantastic. Her prices were not too expensive and the tour she provided was good.

A bit more selection with breakfast would have been good but what we were provided was nothing really to complain about.

Overall our stay here was good. We didn't have any problems with the cleanliness of the room and the facilities were good. It was nice to have free internet provided and the swimming pool was kept pretty clean. Staff were all helpful and polite. We have stayed at this hotel before and had a good experience on both occasions. Would definitely stay here again. It is close enough to town for easy access but far enough away to be quiet.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try one of the Manhout elephant training courses. It was a really good day out.

across the street form the train station, nice room, nice staff, decent breakfast, free internet in the lobby

None

The hotel is literally across the street from the train station - which means that it is excellent for those than plan to stay in Chiang Mai for short time and arrive by train. The interior of the hotel is at least a 3 star, very clean, nice big room, nice staff, travel agent has a desk by the reception area, and she was pretty informative. Hotel keeps your luggage if you need it, early check in was allowed, express laundry for reasonable prices, decent selection of food for breakfast. Nothing spectacular or too fancy, but excellent value for money.

We stayed in the Railway wing it was clean well decorated and comfortable. the hotel is opposite the railway station. there is a 7/11 store next door with an atm and on other side a bar with some food. the staff where very helpful. breakfast good range of British and Thai food with coffee, tea and juices. free internet at reception and wi fi in rooms

The hotel is about a 20minute walk to start of town and night market, only 60baht for tut tut.the pool is in the block of appartments next door you will need to get doorman to show you the way. noisy from station starting about 6am

The hotel is a good uk 3 star hotel. it is well looked after and very reasonable for it rates idea as a base from which to explore. I would certainly recommend it and will go back when in area next time.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Chaing Mia has great elephant farms. but please note you get wot you pay for, we did an expensive trip well worth the money as we wanted a full day with elephants and didn't feel right about seeing them painting pictures or playing musical instruments.

clean, AC, hot water, good breakfast, near train, helpful staff, great travel agent in lobby

far from town and the walk is very long or a tuktuk ride that starts to add up as you go from there to town, nothing really around it as far as restaurants, the train makes a lot of noise

Overall a pleasant stay, the food was good (we had lots of room service), the staff was helpful, the location is great for train people, but to go back and forth into town it's a big pain, so I would suggest finding something closer to attractions in town. THey have a very helpful and well spoken travel agent in the lobby!

Restaurant Tip : make sure you take advantage of the included breakfast, it's mostly thai (for people tired of western food, it's great!)

Free wireless internet and a Great buffett breakfast. Guide service in the hotel next to the reception desk. Next to the railway station, but i did not hear any noise from the trains and room was at the front of the hotel with the train station just across the street.

Away from the activity of downtown, but the hotels were a lot more expensive there.

Just a Tuk-Tuk ride from the downtown activity and the night bazaar which is a great place to get a deep Thai massage for 150 baht per hour or you could get a massage in your room for 300 baht and it was for 2 hours. Tuk-Tuk ride to downtown was between 50-80 baht and there were 4 people. Usually it was 20 baht per person. Free internet. Nice guide service in the hotel. Was supposed to have had a taxi guide come and pick us up and take us around town and show us the sights for 1200 baht (around $35). He did not show up and the lady in the hotel did it for the same price and all this on 20 minutes notice. The rooms look lke the pictures you see on their web sites.

Hotel Feature Tip : Use the travel guide service in the hotel, they were GREAT.

Budget priced, convenient location for those taking the train, clean, free in room wifi,

rooms a bit dated, limited breakfast catering primarily for Asian tastes

The Bossotel is an older budget hotel located across the street from the train station. It is a good value budget priced hotel. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean, and maintained. Everything functioned well. A bit far to walk to night bazaar, but negotiating with tuk tuks for transportation is not difficult. Tour desk is available as well, but guests can shop around for better prices by checking the Chiang Mai Tourist magazine. Good hotel, recommended for budget minded travelers.

Hotel Feature Tip : Free wifi, but signal strength erratic depending on room. Try moving laptop around room to get better signal.

The train station side is very noisy early in the morning as tuk tuks play music loudly and people chatter in the courtyard while awaing the 6 am train to Bangkok. I told the hotel who moved me to a quiet room facing the other way.

Shower cold, and when the hot water was activated was luke warm at best...and only for a few seconds. Food is overpriced. If you go to the up a block and across the street, you can get better food for 40 baht--10 times less than the hotel. Breakfast was marginal.

Hotel Feature Tip : This isn't a bad budget hotel, but you can do better and get a better location.

Great price, rooms are good size. Close to the train station. Free WIFI throughout the hotel and free internet workstations at reception.

Breakfast was pretty poor but for that price can't complain.

Stayed for 2 nights during Loy Krathong. Its about a 20 mins walk to the main areas or a short tuk-tuk ride. There is always plenty of transport options outside. Its right opposite the train station which was convenient as I caught a train back to Bangkok. Has nearby 7.11 and they run a good cheap restaurant right next door. Fantastic connectivity with Wi-Fi available in every room for free, very good considering the cheap prices to stay here.

Big room with comfy bed

Not as advertised, no gym, poor food poor location to get into town

We were not happy when we arrived and there was no fitness studio as advertised. The food was terrible in the restraunt and when we ordered room service the tray was covered in ants! It costs 50 baht each way into town which after a while gets expensive! Would not stay here again.

A reasonable walk to the night market. Friendly, helpful staff.

Although there was a reasonable range of food breakfast wasn't always hot.

We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The hotel was approximately 20-30 minutes walk from the centre of town, even closer to the night market. Tuk tuks were readily available. The swimming pool was quite a walk from the rooms and you needed to take towels from the room. The pool was clean though. Although the decor in the hotel was dated the rooms were clean and comfortable.Free internet and wireless access was a bonus.

Travel tip : Gem, at the tourist information booth in the hotel foyer was extremely helpful.

Large swimming pool Friendly staff Good location for railway station

Long walk to Night bazaar A small little room for extended stay

There is a good welcome form English speaking staff on your arrival. They are willing to give you time, answer questions and provide directions if necessary. The rooms whilst basic are clean and adequate for a short stay for about a week. Whilst the hotel is quite a long walk from the night bazaar, it is quiet and interesting one crossing the river. It is a particularly well appointed hotel should you be travelling via the railway station in Chiang mai. The hotel has a wonderful swimming pool situated in the nearby adjoining hotel. For a more little walk, it is large and clean and well worth the visit!

Nightlife Tip : Close to railway station
