Nice to get a feeling of Chang Mai culture, cute and clean, has all you need, a/c points to the bed, helpful and friendly staff, can book tours from reception, next to 7/11, massage service, night market on this street once a week.
Can't think of anything..
This hotel is really nice, has a warm feeling to it. Cool looking are as shown in pictures. Nice to get a feeling of Chang Mai culture, cute and clean, has all you need, a/c points to the bed, helpful and friendly staff, can book tours from reception, next to 7/11, massage service, night market on this street once a week. We booked all our tours from here and called actual places we wanted to see if we could get it cheaper if we rode there on motorbike our selves, same price. excellent reccommend!!!

Friendly & helpful staff.
Had stayed in different hotels around Thailand including Bangkok, Phuket & Pattaya. This was by far the best hotel experience in Chiang Mai in terms of Privacy, service, courteous & helpful staff.Special mention for a guy called "ROI" in the restaurant & the lady (didn't get her name) at the travel desk for being so helpful.
Shopping Tip : The "Sunday Bazaar" is held at the door step of the hotel & not so far from the "Night Bazaar".

Great room. Excellent, beautiful bed. Good size room, internet access, tv, air con, decent bathroom. Fine warm decor. Brilliant, friendly staff.
We arrived at the airport to leave Chang Mai. Checked in, went through passport control, waiting to board the plane with 15 minutes to go. Then realise I've left the girlfriends purse at the hotel. Horror. Rang the Buri Buri Gallery, and although their English is a bit rough, my Thai is dire. However, they couldn't have been more helpful. Sent a member of staff to the airport, with seconds to spare I recieved the purse. Awesome service.
The hotel was amazing too. Incredible value for what you get. Would stay here again and again. Perfect location - excellent room. Go for the deluxe, they are in another league from the standard room.
Rare... 10/10 from me.

Nice decor, good feel, friendly staff, clean room, good size bed and bathroom.
Small room, no windows in the standard room, thin walls so can hear next door.
Plesently surprised considering the cost of the room. Greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Wish it was a little bigger but perfect for one night. Breakfast in the morning was fine. Good sized bathroom and hot shower. Great thai massage (extra cost) provided on site - perfect after 3 day trekking.
Hotel Feature Tip :
Great Thai massage can be arranged on site. If you can afford it, go for the deluxe room - well worth the extra few pounds.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, convenient location.
Noise carries throughout hotel, basic room has no windows or free internet.
This was a good choice for warm staff and visual charm of the hotel itself. I wish I'd known that most of the reviews here were referring to a different room level (I must have booked the most basic one through Agoda without realizing there were other options). As a result, my room was on the ground floor, meaning it had no windows and was quite dark all day, I could hear everyone walking above my head from the upper level rooms, and internet access was *not* included - I had to purchase cards with wifi credit on them from the cafe. Other than that, the location made walking or flagging a tuk tuk super easy, there are lots of great little restaurants and massage places close by, and the Sunday market unfolds right outside your door. Next time I'll be sure to book the deluxe accomodations and will certainly want to come back.
Shopping Tip : The Lana House next door serves great food with quiet tables under the trees, and the Garden House (right down the street) had the best reflexology massage a gal could ask for - and some of the best prices too! Also, ask a tuk tuk driver to take you to the Wororot wet market for a complete sensory overload without the touristy flavor of the other attractions. Wonderful produce!

The staff - so helpful and friendly
The rooms - stay in a deluxe so that you can have the windows
The free internet and DVD player
The location
The food
Everything!!!
No cons - we loved every minute of our stay here!
I absolutely loved the Buri Gallery House. So traditional and beautiful. We stayed in a deluxe room - its not that much more and you get the windows - so very worth the extra $. We had a DVD player, free internet, breakfast daily and the staff were just incredible in helping us organise tours, taxis and buses around Nothern Thailand. We left for a few days and when we came back to the hotel, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. As a travel agent, I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. We didn't want to leave! Thank you so much Buri Gallery House!
Travel tip : If you like temples and great views, go up to Sumphet Temple - just beautiful!
Check out the night markets as well as getting a cheap massage just down the road from the hotel on the other side of the road!

Our stay at the Buri Gallery House Hotel was the best we experienced in Thailand and Malaysia. The reception staff, particularly Nong, were exceptionally helpful with sight-seeing, travelling, dress-code, taxi prices and activities advice. In the reception area there is a travel desk offering a multitude of different activities which the hotel can easily plan for you.
The bed was really comfortable (not too hard) and the bathroom and bedroom were cleaned on a daily basis. The room was decorated beautifully and felt really cosy and comfortable, perfect for after a long day's trekking. Shower was also good, hot water never ran out. Mosquito-repelling candles provided with the room protected us all week.
I would definitely stay at the Buri Gallery House Hotel again, it was absolutely perfect and we could not have asked for better hosts. The staff cannot do enough for you and are so welcoming. The rooms also feel secure and the spa offers great treatments at very reasonable prices. This hotel was incredible value for money. Stay here!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's walking distance from the most beautiful temples (except Doi Suthep) and on the same street as the Sunday Walking Market- best market we found in the whole of thailand.

Stunningly decorated room, clean, friendly staff.
Location is on the quiet side.
I really really loved this hotel. As soon as we walked in, it was WOW! The decoration is amazing, traditional Lanna style, and very beautiful. And we couldnt believe that there was a set of PC equipped with free internet access IN THE ROOM!!!!!
However, the location is a bit far from the night bazaar, which is basically the only tourist attraction at night, about 20 to 25 mins walk.
If you happen to be in Chiang Mai on a Sunday, the huge Sunday walking street market ends not far from this hotel.

It was very nice the way I was greeted the staff are very freindly and helpful.
The room was kinda small for two people and the door seam very unsafe because it kinda too loose if they make it more secure it would be much better. And they need to put more toilet tissue in bathroom for the guest that come from the United States
I enjoy the hotel and the staff are very nice and friendly and helpful. They made me feel special the way they put computer in the room for me and my friend. We like the way the room is everything is nice in the room.My friend like the way the was presenting it made from the orginal tradition decoratioand the ceiling was very nice over all we like almost everything about the room.Hope they be done with the constrution soon.

Its a hidden gem within the old city. Good location, convenience stores located nearby, good-size rooms and bathrooms and its cheap!
Might be a little noisy if hotel is fully booked. We stayed on the ground floor and I can hear the people walking on the upper floor
Chiang Mai is a very different place from Bangkok. Its more laid back, no traffic, different food but still very good. The Buri Gallery was an excellent base to explore it from. Easy to find food, go to the shopping centers and the night market. Also its a safe place with a big police station located nearby. We would stay in the same place if we go back to Chiang Mai.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : One of the best way to get around is hiring a motorcycle. Cheap to rent, easy to park and Chiang Mai traffic is mild enough for safe riding

Well sited for Old Chiang Mai
A wooden hotel and as such can be noisy from rooms above, around and in the hallways
This hotel reviews and photos are reflected well. The hotel is only 3 years old and apart from the rooms being very dark (built with no side boundaries so very small windows and no natural light)it is in good condition. The rooms are small but adequite. The building is made of wood and as such is very noisy (like when a TV is turned on at 5am everyone gets to listen) Small children running up and down the hallways very early morning is not so good.
However we had an enjoyable stay and have no real complaints.

Like living in a Thai Village museum!
Warm welcome by the personal when we arrive, and they were always there if we needed something. Construction site just outside hotel, but that didn't disturb us and is a temporary problem!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are there on a sunday, the Sunday market starts just outside the hotel! Don't miss it!

The staff were warm, friendly and most helpful. Charming, great atmosphere. We felt cozy and cared for.
I think it would be noisy if the hotel was full.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Buri Gallery House Hotel in Chiang Mai. The staff were warm, helpful, friendly and available.
The atmosphere was charming, the style different and quite wonderful...authentic. It felt like a safe place to be.We had a lot of value for such a good rate.
We were able to see many areas which were easily accessible from the hotel.
We enjoyed our 6 day stay very much and highly recommend it to others.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We were able to walk to interesting places, access other areas easily using the red taxis. The daily massages at the temple were wondereful ane very reasonable.

Very easy English Communication with Host
Integrated with economical massage service
Very good location, Sunday market is just outside
Clean and Quite
Wireless access although we did not brought computers to try out
The rooms on the 1st floor is not windy due to the arrangement
We really like this hotel and we are sure to take it again next time we visit Chiangmai. The hosts are really nice and communicatable. The front-desk girls are very pretty. The location of the hotel is very good and it is very close to a large temple. We also visited Bangkok in the following days and we really think Chiangmai is a much better place to visit and stay. The Sunday market outside Buri Gallery is a must visit place. A lot of local food and clothes are sold there at cheap price.
Travel tip : There is a bike renting point 100m away from Buri Gallery, so it is very convenient to rent a bike a go for a easy city tour by yourself.

Traditional Thai Style, Friendly Staff, Free internet.
Cheaper rooms have no external window.
Have stayed at this hotel twice now and would happily visit again. The hotel is of traditional wood style. I stayed in the higher of the two class of rooms, this class of rooms are located on 2nd floor and have external windows (unlike the cheaper rooms. Each room is styled very nicely and is very comfortable. Each room has its own computer with free internet access. Room also have hot water and air con.
