-Great location
-Kind people
-Nice pool
-Jaccuzzi and steam room
-6 digit safe box
-internet charge
-old carpets
-elevator takes time
Great location, very near to night market, bars and restaurants. Reasonable price. Very kind staff.
They charge a lot for internet. For 12 hours internet they charge over 700 Bath. So if you think full day use of internet it is more then one night room price.
The elevators are getting you angry, it takes more then 5 minutes to reach your room.
As soon as you enter the hotel, you feel old carpets bad smelling.
When you booking make sure it includes breakfast or not. Actually there is pretty close restaurant you can do a good breakfast with around 150 bath.
Nice pool it has including jaccuzzi and steam room.
Nightlife Tip : Very close to Entertainment Center, while you drinking your beer and listening music, you can watch a real Thai Box.

Excellent location, right by the night market ,nice swimming pool with great views overlooking Doi Suthep Temple.
for the price we paid we really could not expect any more.very happy with service and facilities.
We stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time with no problems whatsoever. We were upgraded to a deluxe room. The room was really clean with new carpet great views overlooking the mountains.Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is bang in the centre of the nightmarket.Starbucks mcdonalds, subway, burger king,7/11 are 2 minutes walk away.I highly recommend this hotel.Enjoy your stay !
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Make sure that you make a trip to the Temple Wat Doi Suthep in the mountains.Only about 45minutes from this hotel. The Temple and views over the city are really beautiful so make sure you have your camera!

Great location at night market, Starbucks on corner, breakfast buffet is HUGE, prices VERY reasonable, Fitness Center is EXTENSIVE, Very service oriented throughout, clean
elevators are a little slow but hey the place is busy and that's just part of being busy, spa inside the hotel is great BUT if they try to send you outside/around the corner/downstairs below the hotel... DO NOT GO. Hotels should stay in the hotel business and leave the sleaze to someone else. They should dis-associate with the group downstairs if they want this westerner's continued business.
I've stayed at this location 3 times in the last year and will continue to stay with them. Everyone is very professional, clean, helpful, and service oriented. The fitness center is quite extensive and the breakfast buffet is huge! I also use the laundry service which is also well priced, on time, and does a good job. This place can't be beat for price, convenience, service, and cleanliness.

Breakfast
Central Location
Gym
Slow Lifts
Pool tired and small
The Centara was ideally situated for visiting the night market and there were plenty of good restaraunts close by. Most other places of interest were only a short Tuk Tuk away. The hotel is a bit tired in areas, especially around the pool which is smaller than the pictures on the website suggest. Having said that the room was fine and we were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was great with a good selection of western and asian food. The gym was well equipped. The lifts are slow (as everyone has commented) but don't be put off - Chiang Mai is a chilled out place so just smile and go with the flow. The Spa is expensive compared to local massage places which offer comparable services.
Travel tip : Antique House, Spice (Indian)Riverside (Thai) were all good.
Thai cookery course at Chiang Mai Cookery School was excellent.
Elephant trip with Panda Tours was good but watch out for the mites that live behind the elephants' ears - their bites take ages to clear up and anti-biotics were required for my daughter's.

Location Location Location. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Breakfast is the best.
This was my second time to stay at the Centara in Chiang Mai. I will most likely stay there again should I ever go back to Chiang Mai.
Hotel Feature Tip : Wi-fi is a little on the expensive side but if you opt to get it, make sure you have a room close to the elevators as the receptors are located in that area.

Breakfast was very impressive, great view and pool with nice cocktails.
The breakfast buffet was amazing with the egg station making any type of ommlette that you want. the hotel is located very close to the night market and other attractions in chiang mai. the staff were very helpful and organised cars, motobike rental, tours and spa/massage. great to also lay by the pool and drink cold beer and cocktails.
Shopping Tip : check out the wood carving shops at the night market.

Price is good for the room. (only on special rate)
Hard to communicate with the staff.
Location is very central and convenient to move around. The service is not that good as the room given is not I had requested. The staff seems hard to understand what I have requested and I have no choice but to take a lower grade room instead of deluxe room (as booked). The corridor should have more lighting instead of gloomy. The airconditioning might have to need some maintenance.

i liked the swimmingpool it was very beautyful.
i also think the peole hwo worked there were very nice they were polite and helpful when you needed it.
the food was great but almost always empty
i think that the hotel was very good its not ekspensive but you feel like you are in a luxury hotel, the atmosphere is great, the people working there and the rooms. the view is so beautiful. and you live in the middle of the night bazar so its never hard to get a songteo or a tuktuk and its a short way to clubs and resturants.
i would definetly stay at the centara duangtawan next time and recomend everyone els so to

nice rooms, right next to night bazaar, food nearby, nice restaurant in hotel, good bar in hotel.
Centara is in the perfet spot for the night bazaar, it starts about 20m from the hotel door. The staff were nice, the room service was excellent and dirt cheap. Rooms were comfy and spacious.
