The hotel is clean and has everything you will require to make your stay comfortable. The hotel however does not provide free Internet and their charges are on the expensive side. There are however a lot of Internet cafes within walking distance which provide the same services at a much cheaper rate. The breakfast is substantial with a good variety of Asian and Western dishes. The hotel is situated at the start of the Night Bazaars and walking distance to some tourist sites and temples. Our only complaint was the water pressure in the shower which left a lot to be desired. I will certainly stay at this hotel again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We recommend renting a vehicle with a driver on a daily basis for easy getting around.

An Excellent Hotel

As it was low season and I booked four nights' stay, Centara Duangtawan Hotel upgraded our room. Thank you very much! The room is huge and lavishly furnished with all necessary amenities and more, making our stay a most enjoyable one! The buffet breakfast was great too! The hotel is located close to the night bazaar and also within easy walking distance of the Old City and the wonderful Sunday Walking Street. We even walked to the Warorot Market. The fourth day of our stay was my birthday and the hotel had a birthday cake sent to our room.Thanks! I have already recommended the hotel to friends who are going to Chiang Mai soon and will recommend it to others too!
Travel tip:
Arrange your trip to Chiang Mai so that you can take in the Sunday Walking Street night bazaar in the Old City!

second time that i stayed at this hotel and as always it was an excellent stay. very clean and location is second to none.
had a bit of a problem with check out staff. not very friendly and kind of rude actually. but, this is an isolated case and i always have had a enjoyable time in this hotel. maybe that person was having a bad day.

Great hotel to stage out of for your visit to Chiang Mai.

the location is very good with shoppings just right outside the hotel.staffs are very friendly when we asked about anything.our booking came with complimentary breakfast and they have quite good buffet breakfast selections.there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel every 30mins to a shopping complex too!

the hotel is right at the night bazaar and around 15 minutes to walk to chinese market so it's very good choice for shopping, eating and sightseeing around.
we were upgraded to better room at check-in and really love the hotel features such as swimming pool, gym..
the restaurant at ground floor is nice and cheap

Be careful with taxi right outside the hotel, make sure you very clear about the price before going with them, they can increase the price double!

We enjoyed our stay here slighty off the centre of bangkok plenty of food areas to choice from. Lots of stalls to walk to and see the bangkok charm,5 mins in a cab/tut/tut to the big weekend market.Overall: we would stay here again no hesitation.
Shopping Tip:
Allways barter never ever pay face value at any stall/shop you can get a bargain. Allways allways smile when bartering.
