you can get a cheaper rate on pretty much everything (ie: tour, taxi's to the airport) outside of the hotel. the lobby bar had a great green tea latte & comes with your choice of dessert for 80 bhat.

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not take the Chiang Rai tour that lasts all day with Journey Tours. It is one giant shopping trip for the same crap at every stop. The "village" you go see is nothing but a bunch of huts selling the same junk. No actual village.

Staff were quite helpful and courteous. Airport shuttle was prompt and comfortable and the pool excellent. For a hotel in the $0-$50/night price range, this hotel is an excellent bargain.
- Shopping Tip : Walk over to the nearby local "Wararot" market for excellent bargains in local Thai and hilltribe textiles and clothing.

I like the complimentary use of the recreational facilities. Wanted to book massage in the massage room but was told the 4th floor rooms were under renovation. Didn't want to go to the basement level rooms. Checked out of room and was killing time before going to the airport. Can't remember if credit card accepted for massage. Would be good for travellers low on cash to be able to pay in credit card.
