Dated decoration, Room lighting is rather dim This is my first time staying in this hotel. The location is excellent, just next door to a huge mall. You can get to anywhere in Chiangmai easily. It is not very far from the airport. All in all, it is very good for traveling business man. If you are in Chiangmai for a holiday, hotels around the night market may be a better choice.
Shopping Tip : Good choice for business traveler. Look for a hotel around the night market if you'd like shopping for souvenirs.

Well...the swimming Pool is wonderful, also the breakfast, the room, the people, the localization...I can say that everything was great!!! To stay at orchid chiang mai hotel was a great experience. The room was great, very clean, and everything was working properly. The breakfast had lots of options - one of the bests I have ever had. The people who work there very lovely and willing always to help. The hotel is in a wonderful localization, next to a very good shopping center, starbucks...The swimming pool, the fitness center also great...I really don not have anything bad to say about...everything was just fine, fine, fine...

good clean room, free WI-FI in room, perfect breakfast I like this hotel and I stay there already manytimes , nice clean room good foods and free WI-FI service in the room make me even more comfortable. It's on the good location nearby big shopping center cinema and many entertainment places.Easy to get transportation from hotel to another places.At the counter tour service you can get a very good service with reasonable price.

The lobby is appealing and the location is great. The deal for a 3-nite stay (3 for the price of 2) was an excellent value. The hotel staff frequently could not locate our room key. Power went out in that part of the city for at least an hour and the hotel did not have sufficient back-up to restore more than common area lighting. No air-con, lights, internet or TV! The CMO's deluxe rooms are well worth the added cost. The breakfast buffet was noticeably better when the restaurant was expecting a bus-load of tourists. They seemed to make less of an effort when not.
Hotel Feature Tip : All bets are off if you do not opt for the Deluxe rooms.

The customer service was outstanding. The breakfast was the best I have ever eaten in Chianmai. I will always return to this hotel. I stay in Chiangmai 2 days each month. I saw no need for improvements at this time. I have always stayed at this hotel in Chiangmai. I live in Chiang Dao and take 2 days a month in Chiangmai. I always stay at this hotel. The free breakfast was outstanding, the room service was also great. The rooms were very clean and fresh. One of the best hotels in Chiangmai.

Some areas of hotel a little in need of refurbishment. The location of this hotel suits me for business reasons and the staff are helpful. I would use it again and recommend it
Restaurant Tip : Lemon Tree Restaurant opposite is very good for inexpensive but excellent Thai food. Amazing Sandwich, also opposite, produces great sandwiches. The hotel does lovely dim sum exquisitely presented-a treat!

A bit old now, shabby room. The staffs there is not enthusastic at all.
Me and my partner have booked this hotel for nearly a week. We have stay in executive room. The Chiang mai Orchid is now a bit old and tired. The staffs there is not enthusastic at all. The room is spacious and seemed shabby for us. The matress is not a quality product. It will be a problem if you have a back problem. The hotel definitely need a facelift and repair. Finally, we decided to check out and leave the hotel early than our booked as thought not satisfactory hotel for us at all and we will never stay there again.

Great Locations, great rooms, nice and clean rooms and total facality. Close to the mall and great restaurants. Easy to get around in Chiangmai. This is the best hotel that I have ever stayed in Chiangmai.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Great location to get around in Chiangmai. Next to the mall and a lot of great restaurants in the area and the mall.

location, food, atmosphere, breakfast, staff NONE, although the gym's a bit dated excellent service, very clean, extremely helpful staff, free wifi in my room, great breakfast every morning, i can't fault this hotel, I will return again and again it is one of my favorite places on the planet and staying at this hotel takes it to perfection. Next to a large mall, and with a beautiful large pool, it offers everything a traveller wants or needs, and has an amazing spa at the hotel entrance. :-)

big rooms, good breakfast, great staff, good location rooms decoration a bit old fashioned, ants in the bathroom This was a nice hotel, just outside the city wall, so only about half an hour walk into the centre of the city where there are the sites and good restaurants. There is a shopping complex and lots of restaurants next door the hotel.
The rooms are quite luxurious, but old fashioned decorations and there were ants in the bathroom and the shower was a bit broken.
The hotel had a very nice lobby with a pianist playing and the staff at reception were very helpful.

Everything you would require from a standard hotel.
Helpful staff.
Out of busy town centre.
Close to airport. Was clearly once a very nice hotel but is now rather dated. The Chiang Mai Orchid hotel was clearly a very nice hotel once upon a time. It is now rather dated and in need of a freshen up. The staff are friendly and helpful and provide a good service.
The hotel has the standard facilities; pool, fitness suite, choice of bars and restaurants etc.
It is reasonably priced and was ideal for what we wanted which was a place to rest after a days trekking/sightseeing.
It is close to the airport and about a 10 minute drive from the busy city centre.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Amporn Tour Chiangmai were a good company which we used for 3 days visiting numerous sites.
Reasonable prices also.

Friendly staff, nice pool, great breakfast buffet. Bad experience in the Fine Dining Restaurant. (forgot name of restaurant)....probably would have remembered name of it if it had been a good experience! I have now stayed at this hotel on three different occasions. But this last time a friend and I decided to eat in their fine dining restaurant...It is a good looking restaurant, with good table presentation and atmosphere. However, I felt the lights were too bright. I had to ask for them to turn on music. The menu on display at the front entrance must be the only menu they had, as they brought it to our table to order from....one menu for two people.!! Their so called french onion soup was Onion Soup! had no crouton/bread with cheese! I spent more than 2,000 baht for two people and was not impressed.
They have a good menu and the food (filet) was good. We were the only customers on this evening!! I know why now!
Suggestions from a former restaurant manager: Train Staff in this restaurant, Get more menus, replace fresh flowers daily (dead on all tables), ensure music is on when doors open, greet customers at entrance (3-5mins b4 we saw any staff)..
I don't mind paying for a good meal, professional staff and a good ambiance..Manager needs to be made aware of problems with this "Fine" dining restaurant.
Restaurant Tip : Great Sandwich shop across the street about 100m to the left.
