Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Fantastic location and spaciuos rooms
Location is excellent with everything you need around the corner
8.3
The check-in was a breeze and we were surprised with the spaciousness of the deluxe rooms. There is a wide variety of choices for breakfast and the staff are courteous - always at hand with a genuinely friendly smile.
The hotel's location is nothing other than excellent. The massage outlets (traditional Thai massage) are aplenty with a couple of minutes walk. For those who fancy karaoke there a quite in front or a stone throw away from the hotel. No issue with noise though!.
For food and and shopping, its merely 5 minutes walk to the Night Bazzar/Market. Great local food and plentiful of local stuff to buy.

it was a nice hotel in the past
after my several stays in the hotel ineed to say: it was a nice hotel in the past
6.3
in the previous years i stayed 3 or 4 time in the chiang mai plaza. i enjoyed my time in the hotel very much. but this time it was totally different. they wanted to charge me for everything. although i booked a room for two person i was not allowed to take a thai-massage with girl from outside in my room. they wanted to charge me 2oo baht per hour. furtherore i asked to stay after my one week stay to stay at the last day two or three hours longer in my room. it was not possible although only 15 to 20% were booked. they wanted to charge me 1000 baht for 2-3 hours. finally i would like to recommend everyone to book another hotel in cnx

Good locations big rooms
friendly staff , nearness to night market
8
The Plaza is a big comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Although it is now looking rather weary , the public rooms are very impressive and the rooms spacious and comfortable. We arrived in the low season and although there were very few guests , the staff remained cheerful and there was a good variety of food at the breakfast buffet. Only a 5 minute walk to the night market.

old style hotel
Fantastic large well appointed rooms and a good buffet breakfast
10
second time i've stayed here and would stay again.
it's 5 minutes walk to the anasurna market the night market and
loi kroi road.
try to get a room on the lower floors as the water pressure higher up is not good(i was on the 11th floor)has a large pool that nobody uses but it's very clean(3rd floor outside)great staff and breakfast.look out for promotions in the off season.
Nightlife Tip:
go visit russell at "my place lounge" it's in loi kroi rd.
he's the proprietor and is there thursday through saturday.
great place to meet and drink and he's a wealth of local
information.

centrally located in downtown chiang mai
close to many interest points
7.7
our stay at the chiang mai plaza hotel was like it has always been,
easy to manage and straight forward. this site is located 1 block from the midnight market walk street. there are many eating places
of many quality levels within walking distance of this hotel.
the breakfast served is good. now in off season, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
Shopping Tip:
the midnight market walk street one block from this hotel in the
summer months is only half of what it is during the tourist season in the months of november- january.

Great hotel and service for the price
10
We booked the hotel for a group of 14 people. The hotel was very nicely decorated and maintained, the service was great and the breakfast was outstanding!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Be aware that some of the water in the room is free, some is 60 baht per bottle.

Wonderful Thai decore and ambiance
7.3
I have stayed here a number of times. Good service and wonderful decor. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Horrible price for use of the wifi which even restaurants offer for free. I can't understand the Hotel administration's view about charging so much for wifi. They will lose customers over this and I am one of these customers. May stay one more time but there are other better hotels in the area for about the same price, equal or better comfort, and free wifi.

I checked in after 3pm due to flight delays and found the hotel staff pleasant and helpful. However, when I discovered a double bedded room and requested for change, the staff was not so helpful. Had to stay 1 night in the room and spoke with the manager the next morning to request for a change. Found the hotel was not running full was given a room change to the "new" wing the next day. The room aircond of both rooms were not working well.
Hope the hotel will refurbish soon.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Less than 10 min walk to night market, with lots of massage centers along the way.
