This hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms very comfortable. The staff were great help from the time they picked us up at the airport to the day we left.
Nightlife Tip:
Hotel is closely located to the night bazaar markets and night life. A leisurely 5 minute walk to enjoy great bargains at the markets and taste the variety of foods.

We made 2 reservations, and for this reservation two of our family members stayed at Superior room. Room is spacious and clean, and made has nice view of Chiang Mai city. For what you pay, this is a great value. However, you also get what you paid for. This hotel is obviously outdated. Bathroom is ok, just looks old. TV is tiny, very old, thick and low resolution. Bed is comfortable, not too firm or soft. Breakfast is nothing special, I didn't enjoy it but it was just ok.

We made two reservations. One with superior room, and the other one is Deluxe room. I stayed at Deluxe. Deluxe is 10 square meter larger. It is a little more luxurious. Deluxe has wood floor around the door and better furniture. Superior is all carpet. Air conditioning of my room wasn't strong enough. I couldn't make it colder. When I was in the bed, I felt it was a bit warm but wasn't bad enough to disturb my sleep. There was one night when I came back to my room at 10PM, I discovered housekeeping forgot to clean the room. I called and had to wait about 30 minutes for them to clean up my room. They apologized and promptly resolved the problem.
Hotel Feature Tip:
This hotel's internet is total joke. They charge it by per hour, not per day. I don't remember the price, but it is expensive. Unless you really must internet, I highly suggest you to save your money and don't bother using it.

The room has no complain, service is OK but there is no free wifi. The staff need to be more courteous.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a Teo Chew restauarant that is highly recommended. Good food and price is reasonable.

The reception and other front office staff is very helpful & friendly. The deluxe room I was staying in was very run down and badly needed renovation. Linen was clean and was changed daily, beds are comfortable. There are no Safes in the rooms and one has to queue up at the cashier to get a locker. Bathroom was tatty and was falling apart, the amenities were minimal and of poor quality. The slippers provided had been used previously which was quite unhygienic.
Worst part of my experience was the Buffet Breakfast, it was unbelievably BAD as the choice was vey poor and the quality of all food items was far below the Four Star Standard. It was more like an army field canteen supervised by a very unfriendly chef who just wanted to get rid of the guests. The fried eggs were very stale and rubbery and gave me a stomach upset.
