nice and clean, very short walk to the night market, breakfast nice, if need anything in the room service was very quick, pool clean. The price on agoda was excellent.

Just a big hotel - I prefer smaller places with a bit more personality but for price, location and cleanliness this was fine. Dark rooms - very small windows at the end (deceptively large curtain), curtain wouldn't shut properly so light could get through. Not clear how to get to pool from room, not explained by staff.

Large size of room and great staff.

Cost of internet.

The hotel's location is perfect for everything. All the staff, but espically the business center was very helpful. Breakfast was above average with nice selection. Room was large and modern and the 10th floor view from the hotel front is spectacular. The staff treated my Thai wife with the respect deserved.

Nice hotel Good Location Good Pool area

Poor Internet connection Expensive internet connection

On the plus side it is a very nice hotel with large rooms with good amenities, nice lobby and seating. It has an excellent pool which is quite quite large. The hotel is very well positionned woth the night marketonly 5 mins walk. Hotel has good security. I found a very good price on Agoda. The staff were always helpful and polite. On the minus side, the internet not availiabel in all rooms availiable (I was lucky in my room as it was close to pool area and got sinal) Internet is expensive 200 THB/hr and only 30 min and 1 hr cards. Breakfast OK but not as good as some similar class hotels. I did not find any security box in the room to be able to leave valuables.

Shopping Tip : Night market - lot of variation in price, keep walking away until they do not offer more discount

Good Location, very near nigh bazar, about 10 min's away from sunday market. beautiful lobby, kind staff

not much choice for breakfast. room looks still a little bit too old though they upgrade our room.

when we are there at May, they are redecorating the hotel rooms and believe when next time it will better. but the breakfast is really....

Restaurant Tip : ice coffee in the night bazar is really good

Reasonable price. Big swimming pool. Good location.

Rooms need refurbishment. Area around pool needs some planting and lots more umbrellas. Ridiculously high prices in spa. Internet should be free.

Very reasonably priced hotel in a good location close to the night market and 100 metres from Whole Earth Restaurant (superb food!). Staff are very pleasant and rooms are spacious. Attractive lobby with charming live Thai music in the evening followed by piano soloist. Nice big swimming pool. Rooms are looking very tired and are definitely in need of refurbishment. There are facilities for making tea and coffee but no provisions. The area around the pool desperately needs some green planting and a lot more umbrellas as it presently looks very stark and unwelcoming, although they have improved it tremendously since my last visit. Breakfast is good although it would be better if there was someone there cooking fresh eggs. I did not use the restaurant this time but have done so in the past and it was good then. I do intend to stay at this hotel again next year although I hope they make a few improvements.

Travel tip : The massage service directly across the road is excellent - good prices, air-conditioned with strong, therapeutic masseurs. The prices at the spa in the hotel are absurdly high in comparison.

My stay at ChiangMai Plaza is alway very very nice Guest Rating: 10

Good location. Very close to the markets but without the noise. Nice and friendly staff. I had a room in the new section which was very nice. Good breakfast with many things to choose from. No chef "on duty" but whet the heck. There was enough anyway.

Difficult to find if you come by yourself. Strange ticket system for going in and out with the car. Maybe good safety but to many stamps.

I only stayed for two nights and had busy days but I will definitely come back for a longer stay where I can use the gym and nice pool area.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a run up the 300+ steps to Doi Tung temple. Marvelous view. (There is a cable car also).

convenient consistently good wonderful buffet breakfast excellent staff comfortable rooms

Haven't experienced any

This is my third stay here and continues to be an excellent choice of hotel for me. It is comfortable, very convenient and the staff is superb. I really like this hotel. The rooms are comfortable, beds good all the ammenities one needs, the buffet breakfast is large, varied and consistently good. But what truly makes this a wonderful hotel is the staff. I have never had anything but the best interaction with everyone and this makes it an "A" hotel for me. Highly recommend

Nightlife Tip : Walking distance to night bazar and some nice restaurants and bars, etc. Great location

Attractive decor, friendly service, very clean rooms and prompt, efficient service.

Nothing to mention

The hotel is situated in a very good location, the garden is beautiful, the transfer from and to the airport is very good, the reception staff are accessible and pleasant. The hotel is well equipped and tastefully furnished with great ambience. Every request of ours at all times was answered immediately in an efficient and pleasant manner.

Nightlife Tip : At the entrance to the hotel there is authentic Thai music which is very pleasant

enough facilities

a little bit old linens

This is quite a big hotel with so many foreign guests, which leads to be noisy in the lobby, feeling not at ease. If you need a rest, you should look for another one. Yet, it offers reasonable services per price, so you may find it nice to stay short time as a busy traveler.

Location is great. Walk to the night market. Rooms are very clean- just a little old. Restaurants/internet nearby are excellent.

The hotel is a bit old- really needs to be refurbished. Breakfast was OK- but if you want to have eggs cooked the way you like them, there is not a chef on duty for that.

My husband has stayed at the Chiang Mai Plaza hotel for many years- for business. We have stayed in the "new" wing- which is clean, nice big rooms, hot water always. If you want luxury- this is not the place for you- but for a convenient hotel for the night market, restaurants, massages, etc.. it is perfect. The beds are comfortable and it is a clean hotel- just not a luxury place. We would stay here again. They do have a big pool, gym, restaurant. We did not try the restaurant other than for breakfast. The people were friendly, but not overwhelming.

Restaurant Tip : If you go out of the hotel entrance and go right- the Italian Restaurant Piccola Roma is excellent and if you go left- Whole Earth has wonderful food and atmosphere. Plenty of Internet cafes near the hotel as well.
