chiangmai gate hote is a clean, graceful hotel with spacious public areas for you to relax and meditate. The atmosphere is so wonderful that you can't resist to come back again. the people working at the restaurant seem not so courteous. I recommend that chiangmai gate hotel is your best choice when you come to Chinagmai. It offers you best accommadation, serene atmosphere, clean environment at a very resonable low price. Especially, it locates just between the airport and the old city. you can get anywhere within walking distance. Besides enjoying the convenient the city offers you, you can even get a real feeling of rural life.
Shopping Tip : The two shopping malls and old city is just five minutes away from chiangmai gate hotel.

this has to be the worst hotel staff in thailand,this is the land of smiles but not at this hotel....the staff do not like foreigners..they are unpleasant and offhand..the noise in hotel is unreal,mainly from staff shouting at each other..my advise do not stay at this hotel unless you are thai

reception staff offhand bad attitude....restaraunt staff the same,but the worst are the housekeeping who clean the rooms,,,on the 2nd floor they shout in the corridors like football supporters,,,i reported them but nothing was done,,,,i asked for the owners contact but they refused to give,,i know at least 2 couples who checked out early and went to other hotels,,do not stay here..

quiet, big rooms, great location, excellent staff our room had a water leak one evening, but I think it's because the standard rooms are perhaps the last to be remodeled. The other rooms we saw were much nice decorated, but smaller. My wife and I typically switch hotels a lot when we're on a trip because we think we'll keep finding better things, but when we got to Chiang Mai Gate Hotel we changed our booking from 2 nights to 5 because we knew right away that it was just right! We've lived in Asia for 4 years and never found such a nice room for the $$!
Shopping Tip : Just a few minutes walk from Night Market, Saturday Market, and Sunday Market

Nice and cosy coffeshop , karaoke in the evening.Swimming Pool is ok and all staff is very friendly. Sometimes noisy with barking dogs in the early morning The first time I stayed there on recomdation by friends . I will sure stay there again , also because it is not too fare from night bazar by tuktuk of red bus.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Just across the soi ,near the canal is a very nice market .

I didnt want to get out of bed, a big bed with exceptional linen in a nicely sized room.
It is a big hotel with swimming pool but the location is not ideal, seemed to be away from the main attractions, still - taxis are inexpensive.
I never made it out of bed on time but my missus advised me that the breakfast was not great

would like the pool to be open later in the evening Only stayed 2 days but had a wondefull experience. The room was fantastic, although the air con packed up first night and could of done with a fan atleast, But would love to stay for longer next time. Booked the better room and the shower room was excellent. All very clean and tidy. Very freindly and helpful staff. Well looked after.

Unfortunately outside window the roof of next door was very close making the room unsecure. apart from this good breakfast, nice pool etc.

Location, Service, Room decoration Second time I stay in Chiang Mai Gate and it was as last time a good experience. This hotel offer exactly what hotels of this category should. The location is really convenient, nertby the old city, sunday and saturday and just 5 minutes of tuk tuk of Night Bazar for the people who really want to get there.
Shopping Tip : Saturday market is just 100 meters form there, and not much tourists !

Very nice and confortable room, very cosy atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff. Wifi very fast and cheap. Laundry very good and cheap. Breakfast needs some improvement but was enough to be fed.
The hotel is in a very quite location. They have also a free shuttle service to the night market and the airport transfer is very cheap just 70 baht per person. The laundry service was perfect and cheap and they deliver the same day. Very good aircondition but we did not use because it was not hot. Tv with english channel. Our room had the balcony, big room but cosy atmosphere.
Restaurant Tip : Next to the hotel a very good bakery

We are happy with the cost we pay,clean room,good services and freinly staffs. Will be even better if breakfast menu change,we had the same menu for all morning as we stay. It's our first time booking hotel with Agonda,our group,5 retirees,booked 3 rooms,travel to C'Mai by driving,we are a little bite concern what kind of hotel we are checking in ! but after 3 nights four days stay,all of us are happy with the services,clean room sleeping with ease and friendly staff.
Restaurant Tip : With in walking distance,you will find low cost food and fresh market at C'Mai Gate market.
