It was a very good experience with De Chai The Colonial Hotel:
- Superb services, staffs are very nice and supportive.
- Size of room is much bigger than I expected, the view is superb on the 5th floor,
- Bed and bath tub is very comfortable,
- Wifi is fast and stable.
Highly recommended!!
Some minor issue, the hotel is not famous, many drivers dont know the address. Breakfast choices is not much, but the order-to-make dishes are good. The pool is kinda small, this hotel is not for pool lovers.
Little suggestion to management, the roof top can be decoration to a leisure area for customers, dont waste the 360 view of Chiang Mai City =)

I have not had a good stay there as the entire hotel including the room is full of mosquitoes and the hotel did not have staff to off load baggage to the lobby or reception. The house keepers are not trained or just being too conservative as they only make up the bed and leave without cleaning the bathroom and refilling toilet paper and bath jel. Breakfast don't consider it at all as there is nothing more than noodles, eggs, small waffle, sliced bread, butter, and jam.

We had a nice time during our stay at De Chai The Colonial Hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was yummy and the hot items changed everyday. I really liked the fried noodles and boiled rice! The location was close enough to the Night Market, and it was easy to walk or get a tuk tuk. Our room was spacious and clean. Couple things to watch out for: mosquitoes in the room (spray deet and they'll go away), weird bed frame that sticks out and is easy to stub your toe/leg/foot on, and the toilet was oddly placed very close to the wall so it was somewhat difficult to use. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay, one of our favorites from our trip!

the room and hotel staff were great.only that the location is quite isolated abit.lots of tuk-tuk dont know this hotel.the room is great ands the bath room is very good.very clean and comfortable hotel.the buffet breakfast is ok.but if u prefer a better location near to the night market better u take the royal princess hotel.
