Fabulous hotel. Would recommend to anyone!
10
We love this hotel. This was our second visit and we left just as happy as last time. The rooms are all immaculate and beautifully decorated. The whole hotel is relaxed and presents beautifully. The price is very reasonable for the hotels excellent condition. Staff are friendly, helpful & professional. Pool is lovely. Food is good. Breakfast great. Location is excellent for Sunday markets and only a short tuk tuk ride to Night Bazaar. We will continue to stay in this hotel whenever in Chiang Mai.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Tiger Kingdom is great, Ziplining lots of fun, Maetaman Elephant camp is beautifu. Hire a driver for the day and do all the sights & activities. Well worth it!

The hotel is at a very central yet quiet location, easy to find. The personnel is a bit guest-shy...
Travel tip:
If in Chiang Mai, dont miss the Maesa Elephant Camp!

Lovely quiet hotel located in Old Town
Nice pool, good size rooms with private balcony
8.7
we stayed at the de lanna in march 2012 for 6 nights. we found the hotel to be very quiet and peaceful and the rooms were very nicley decorated in the lanna style with lots of storage space. some rooms have a "japanese" style to them with beds very low to the floor (which we had). this was not a problem for us but if you don't want this style of room let the hotel know. we found the staff to be very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. any request we had was carried out quickly and with no fuss. location of the hotel was good (there are quite a few restaurants just down the street but we ate in the night markets most nights).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This was my first time in Chang Mai and I found it very easy to get around the city using the tuk-tuks that roam around the streets. Just put your hand out to hail the driver and show them where you want to go (make sure you have a map or brochure)and for most locations within the city it will cost 20 baht per person (80 cents). I highly recommend at least a day trip to Elephant Nature Park which is a sanctuary for abused elephants. A wonderful day out this is not for elephant riding - it is such a delight to see these wonderful creatures living as close to a natural existence as they can. Also if you are looking for a spa experience try the Peak Spa - we spent 4.5 hours here getting totally pampered and it was amazing. I have never felt so "blissed out" after the care and attention that the lovely ladies at the Spa gave me.

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff
Small hotel, good location, nice pool area, great staff, very clean
8.3
we enjoyed our stay at the de lanna. really nice little hotel with helpfull staff. for the price you pay it is excellent. our only complaint would be regarding the breakfast. we were there for 6 nights & every morning the eggs, bacon, sausages etc were cold or just luke warm.
some people comment about the noise, but in our experience this is not to do with the rooms. it is more about ignorant guests who have no regard that others may be on holiday & want a sleep in in the morning or may be asleep at 11 o'clock at night. these people are the ones who insist on slamming their doors at any time of day or night & talking at the top of their voices before 7am & late at night.
overall, apart from the breakfast we enjoyed our stay

Lovely small booutique hotel
This was a smaller hotel -- 35 rooms with a lovely garden-pol area.
6.3
although we liked this hotel we found that the room was not comfortable for people of our age. the bed was very low to the ground so it was difficult to get up out of and down into. so if you have any hip or knee problems this might not be the best place to stay. the tub was very high so it was very difficult for me to get into and out of as i have had 2 hip replacements so again if you have hip problems this could be difficult. we did find after the first day that you could get into the tub from the bedroom which was easier. the only chairs that were in the room were on the floor so we brought the chair into our room from the balcony otherwise we had no where to sit.the breakfast buffet was adequate but we did not find the restaurant food that good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We went on 2 trips that were excellent. One was a whole day quad ride and the other was to the Elephant training center.

Quality accommodation in the centre of Bangkok
Location, friendly staff, good breakfast and quality rooms.
8.3
we had a suite of rooms on the twenty fourth floor with lovely views out over limpana park. rooms are lovely, well proportioned and fitted out. comfortable bed and great air cond. breakfast was great and the omelettes are a must try. great gymnasium and an outside pool on the seventh floor - great place to relax after a hard day on your feet. there is a bst stn within five minutes walk from the hotel. one minor point, the hotel bar and restaurant are a tad expensive; there are plenty of cheaper alternatives within an easy stroll from the hotel.
overall: we had three great days at this hotel and we will return in the future
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very close to Pat Pong (Night Market) - Make sure you ask your driver for a price and haggle before getting into a taxi or TukTuk.

Modern rooms with Lanna character....
Great location close to coffee shops, food, 711, walking street
9.7
the smaller rooms facing the pool were the best, we liked the cute characteristics they offered, tinted glass, french doors to deck offered comfortable seating areas for evenings. we were greeted everyday by koi fish ponds after every outing we had. the location of the boutique hotel was great, we could walk anywhere, and was well known by drivers as well.... the only thing that was inconvenient was the internet going out a couple times and the fax line for international wires was out. the breakfast, bar, and pool staff were very very nice and accommodating. we would definately recommend this boutique hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Tigers Kingdom is a must- they treat the cats well and are not chained up. for only $38 you can visit the cats one on one for almost an hour- from kittens to the big cats, your choice. Black Canyon Coffee and Treehouse Sis have great Coffee and Green Tea selections- better than SB...

A little oasis in Chang Mai
location was great, staff helpful, rooms big and quiet
8.7
my brother and i stayed at de lanna for 5 nights and it was a great choice. location was perfect to walk around the sat and sunday night markets. the staff helpful in restaurant recommendations and arranging out of town activities.
there were just a couple of minuses, our bathroom was huge and beautiful but the shower's water temp fluctuated greatly. i also found the drinks and food at the hotel pretty expensive but then again we were being lazy and didn't feel like leaving the quiet, peaceful place :)
oh if you are going to sit in the garden in the evening don't forget bug spray!

De Lanna Hotel is an oasis and pampers you
It is a mini resort offering everything you need
8
De Lanna is a great place to stay when in Chaing Mai. It is close to everything yet still offers you total relaxation if that is what you want. The pool area is just big enough to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. If, like me, you need the internet to do some work the Wifi connection was great. Breakfast was good as was the service and attentiveness of the staff.
Nightlife Tip:
Try to be at De Lanna on a Sunday.Late in the afternoon walk out of your room (after a siesta) and turn left at the Hotel entrance. Within a hundred meters you will walk straight into the most mesmerizing street market. Here you will enjoy some great food and wonderful shopping. You will get caught up in the atmosphere and excitement of this Night Market. The food is wonderful. Just a tip. Buy a plate at a time and eat and walk until you see something else you want. Don,t buy all at once with the intention of going home. Eat on the run....in the street. The cost is minimal and the quality is great. This is a must do. You will be amazed how far this street market stretches.....we never made it to the end.....but enjoyed every inch of the journey.
