We had a nice stay at De Naga hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful in confirming our day trips for us. They were always willing to help if needed. The hotel itself was nice but really nothing too special. Older design style much like you would expect in the old city but still kind of modern at the same time. We had a nice visit but not sure if we would stay there again simply becuase there are many other places around Chiang Mai to try out as well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure to plan trips or have an idea of what you'd like to do ahead of time. We didnt book a trip one of the days we were there and found our selves a little bored compared to all the options in Bangkok.

Lovely quaint hotel with a perfect location
The front desk attendants were lovely, as were all staff members. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in the heart of the old town, close to restaurants bars and shops.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The room was tastefully decorated and was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great with a good selection of food. The ladies at the front desk were also very helpful and warmly welcomed us on arrival.

De Naga hotel is fantastic! We were only there two nights, but next time we visit Chiang Mai we will stay here again. From The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms to friendliness of all hotel staff, I could not fault a thing. The breakfast was great - buffet style in a peaceful relaxed setting. All staff spoke great English which was a bonus, and all staff were bending over backwards to help. Loved it!

Large rooms with central location

This was the second time staying at this hotel, the rooms are large with some carractor close the night market and bars. The staff were very helpfull and polite. the pool in the courtyard seems like an add on to the hotel that seems to be in shade all day. As the hotel is within easy walking distance of bars and restraints this made it easy to walk , instead of getting a taxi.

My two year old son and I stayed at the hotel while traveling through Thailand. We enjoyed are stay at the hotel. Only negative is the pool is not conducive for youngsters swimming.

Nice boutique hotel but showing signs of age

The De Naga is a decent enough boutique hotel centrally located. In fact, we selected this hotel because of its location. The breakfast was average, nothing to write home about. The room was a grand deluxe but found it very small. The shower was decent enough but less than what I'm used to. They were constructing a spa while we were guests, so it was a bit noisy at times. However, it is a nice feature for a boutique hotel to have. The swimming pool is one of the smallest I've seen in any type of hotel- not very inviting! In general, the De Naga is in a great location and the hotel is decent enough, but nothing exceptional.

Good value hotel with nice touches for breakfast. Homemade jams and muesli are some of these.
Quiet atmosphere spoiled somewhat with new construction of extensions which will include a new restaurant and in-house spar -Should be great once complete.
Travel tip:
Used private guide for trip to elephants, rafting ,covert and long necks and Tiger -best way to go. Google Mr Thew for his details -he will arrange transfers cheaply as well....

looking forward from the pictures. But disapppinted with the size of rooms and espeically the swimming pool!
However, location wise is very good, near to great pizza places and thai food joints. and many drivers are aware of the hotel.
And right opposite you will find easy access to night market, wand walking past strings of pubs and cheap massage palours.
Overall interesting place to stay!
