attention to detail, great location, huge bathrooms, excellent customer service
bedroom is some what plain
The customer service is truly what made this hotel stand out for us. The peopel working the front desk are wearing the cutest outfits and made sure to go out of their way to help us book transportation.

excellent location, great price, fabulous attention to detail
My boyfriend is obsessed with waterfalls and the staff spent a lot of time going over any and all info they knew. super close to sunday market (within a 5 minute walk!) They really gave us the attention we needed and helped us throughout our stay.

A well run hotel in a great location.
There was nothing I could fault at this hotel.
This is a great small hotel near the old city gate in Chiang Mai. The staff were efficient and friendly its a well maintained property in a great location rooms are clean and well looked after the public areas are also well maintained especially the pool area which although small is a welcome relief after a days outing. This is a great little hotel that deserves more attention.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel's location is perfect for exploring the old city and also the new.

I'm not sure what makes this a Grand Deluxe room. Probably wouldn't spend the extra money on this style room next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Elephant Nature Park, www.elephantnaturepark.org, was fantastic. If you're looking to interact with elephants and enjoy a day with them, this is your outing!

The hotel is in the main walled city which to the European traveler may feel rather grotty and has a few seedy bars/restaurants. No bad smells though. Pavement is narrow with lots of transport from tuk tuks, trucks at very reasonable prices. Very humid here so take a ride if its far to walk. Make sure you go to Warorot markets and walk up small streets to Tae Phae road to find silk/clothes at cheaper prices. Lots of markets close tothe hotel.

We were chuffed to bits with this find. Crazy low price for the luxury and level of service provided. Wonderful staff who did everything to assist you without being irritating (sometimes a hard balance!). We would definitely go back to this hotel.
Nightlife Tip : The Roof Top Bar (go through the old gateway in front of hotel - it is on the road facing you) was a great hippy find. You have to go up a number of crazy stairways and then you find a hippy, neon bar with great live DJ. May not be for everyone but backpackers, young travellers, hippy types will love!
Also there is a Thai boxing stadium very close by (go left on main road out the front of the hotel) - 400Bht for ringside seat for some local entertainment. Despite this the hotel is in a super quiet location so perfect.

Don't be fooled by the temptation of the 'free' minibar - this involves only two local beers and four soft drinks between two customers - beer costing 27 Baht in the local shops - so in effect, not a real incentive. Breakfast is now offered as buffet style rather than restaurant service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The night bazaar (10 minute walk) is very tourist oriented but look out for the sunday market - 3 minutes away by the Thapae gate (much more authentic and frequented by locals). A woman sells locally produced Thai fruit wines (20 Baht per glass 180 Baht/bottle) - lovely on a hot evening. You really need to negotiate in advance the prices for taxis, tuk tuks etc as tourists pay a hefty price compared to locals. Avoid the river trip
