I had an enjoyable stay at De Rachamanka. Was at first taken to the dreaded Rachamanka hotel, where they quickly figured out I was at the wrong place, de Rachamanka isn't too far away though so it was fine. Check in was quick and easy and I felt at home right away. Rooms are fair in size and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. Bed was incredibly comfortable which is a must. Breakfast every morning was really nice, especially loved the French toast. The room was cleaned every day and left pristine for me when I returned,which was much appreciated. Staff are all friendly and smily.The only thing I will say is that I wouldn't necessarily book for more than a couple of days, because both rooms I stayed in had only a tiny window with no view so there was almost zero natural light in the room which I found to be a little depressing. But if you don't mind it then de Rachamanka is a great little guesthouse. Well situated within walking distance of Thapae gate and just around the corner from the Sunday Walking market.

We stayed in new room with lovely decoration. Everything is new, eg., equipments, bedsheet, pillows, etc. The room has all facilities that we required. The room is huge. Friendly staffs, we could request for some little helps like hair dryer.

Our stay at the Ratchamanka Hotel has been pleasant. We booked two rooms, one room with an extra bed but at our arrival they upgraded us for free to a bigger family room. The breakfast was very nice, the staff was friendly and the location is great. On a more negative note; the rooms are very small, and one room had a very bad moldy or somewhat of a sewer smell.

Our room was on the ground level and was a good size with a clean bathroom. The Internet worked well and was free. The best aspect though was the receptionist A. She even gave us her own tour of the temple next door and recommended a great spa (fah lanna). This is not the hotel for those looking for a social backpackers scene but Chiang Mai overall is not that kind of city.
