location friendly staff good buffet breakfast

carpet looked a little old.

If you're into shopping, this place is great value for money being pretty close to the night bazzar and a few other markets. Was here for the Loi Krathong festival and it was good to be able to walk all around the place between the river and Tha Pae Gate. The staff were nice and spoke reasonable English. Highly recommend this place.

Hotel Feature Tip : Used the hotel shuttle service to the airport (90 baht per person).

The room is clean and reasonable big, and the best part of the hotel is that it is very near the night bazaar making it very convenient.

The toilet and the shower room can be improved, especially the water heater, as the water pressure of the shower is weak.

For its price, I believe it is quite a good choice to stay since it is very near the night bazaar.

Good location.

Bathing water flowing outside cause the whole washroom become wet. The waiter used table mat to sweep the food dropped on the chair and then put back on the table for next guest.

This hotel is rather old and need to change of the carpet, because there are strange smell while we enter the room. Good location next to the night Brazza where you can get large variety of souvenir and enjoy thai food and western food. Hotel staffs are quite polite overall. I would recommend this hotel to those who looking for a vALUE FOR MONEY hotel.

Room Standards Cleaning Staff communication

To be honest we really we not impressed with this hotel. The hotel staff were slow to respond, they didn't go out of their way with anything and normally you had to look for them to get served rather then them approaching you. The cleaning of the rooms was very poor. The room was not cleaned everyday and the beds were not made properly at all. The toilet was not cleaned the whole time we were there. The location of this hotel was great as it's right beside the night markets. If you are looking for something in a reasonable state for not too much money then this would do but it really was not fantastic.

Location,Spacious and cosy

Quite noisy with the sound coming from the roof. The water heater is not functioning in room 523. There's no internet service provide inside the room accept at the lobby area where guest have to pay for it.

The hotel is very near from the night market, there a lot of muslim food, transportion is very convenient, the hotel staff are very friendly and knowledgable, people's are very friendly and the goods are quite cheap and verity of choices. Suitable for family to visit and discover Chiangmai and to experience the activities offer there's.

Shopping Tip : The hotel located at the main area of the Night Market which convenient for the guest to go for shopping and it's safe.

Central location, good price.

Poor breakfast.

Town View is a small, modern hotel in a central location in Phnom Penh. Walking distance to the Central Market, Soroya Mall and Lucky Supermarket. The room was small, clean, adequate and 2 free bottles of water were provided. Breakfast had limited choice in unattractive setting - a great contrast to the rest of the hotel. The hotel price was about right for what was provided.

Great location to Night bazaar market. Breakfast ok.

Hotel Staff lack of English speaking skills. Hotel staff not very friendly or helpful. Room has a very bad odor. No room safe. Shower and bathroom share together which made it unpleasant every time when I was using it.

This is my first time stayed at ChiangMai downtown in which I did not enjoy it very much although it is a great location to a Night Bazaar Market. The hotel staff appears to speak a very little English. I asked them a very simple question about Hi-fi or high speed internet available at the Hotel and they did not understand me which is very sad. Staffs were not very helpful as any other hotels I stayed in Thailand.

Location, location, location – price – service - buffet breakfast – nice rooms - good pool.

none

Very good hotel. Stayed here for 8 days in Sept 2007 and 8 days in Oct 2008. Great value for money, easy access to markets and eating places. Easy walking distance to many markets and attractions. Staff always polite and very helpful. Rooms were good size, cleaned daily. Shower hot. Good buffet breakfast included in price. Resturant meals were good. Safety boxes at reception. Nice gardens. Good terrace and pool area. Would definately stay here again.

Shopping Tip : There is a small crossroad outside hotel. Go north 100m to get to Kalare Night Bazaar, great food court, shopping and nightly entertainment. Go south 100m to get to Anusarn Market, big variety of cheap excellent restaurants and big shopping area. Night Bazaar is less than 150m west from front of hotel, but no noise at hotel. Go east 150m to get to Ping River. Best market in the area is Warorot Market which is 2 minutes walk north from top of Night Bazaar.

Good breakfast and location.

Poor room,too old.

Chiang Mai is not so good as i thought before. Too many people and too many motor and too many noise. Like a normal noisy town. But the temple is very good. And Chiang Mai people are very kind and friendly. I think i wont go to Chiang Mai again but pai and chiang lai is good, maybe is the next purchases of holiday.

Shopping Tip : behind the night bazaar.

Old hotel.

Good hotel with very good location, staff very friendly, but a little old, and carpeting too, but my stay has been very enjoyable and lets you everyday dining out at night market, I recommend it to anyone who go to Chiang Mai and likes to go to markets, besides this I've been very close to go to Chinatown and good restaurants.

- Breakfast buffet - Location - Price - Clean - Safety deposit box

- Occasional ants in the room - Shower would get the washroom a bit wet

Overall a good hotel. Went here with the girlfriend and had a good stay. Room was a good size and clean. Price was good and included buffet breakfast. Food was good. We were happy with the service from the staff. Safety deposit box at the front desk was available free of charge. We recommend using a small pad lock or a TSA lock to secure the box itself and be sure to keep the key safe. Hefty charge if the key is lost. Hotel is situated down a small road but its only a few minutes walk to the night bazaar.

Shopping Tip : Head north on the night bazaar street until you reach the end and you'll see a set of lights and a dark street. Keep walking and you'll run into a totally different market that tourists don't visit. Its a local market selling all sorts of things. Most vendors don't speak English here so be patient but its a great place to visit as things are real cheap. We loved it here and preferred to visit this market versus the night bazaar.
