Tranquil, amazing treehouse

Stayed two nights. Staff really nice people and made our stay very relaxing. We were upgraded to the Tree house as it was not busy - I would recommend paying extra for tree house as its amazing.
You have to be aware there is really not much to do other than relax in the tranquil surroundings but this was the charm. We had no transport and pre-arranged a hotel pickup from Chiang mai. Staff speak very little English so best to ask someone who speaks Thai to call for you if you need a pick up. Rates were very reasonable for the distance about 900baht return. There are some scooters to borrow, food was excellent and probably the best Thai food we had been in Thailand.
What really makes this place though are the staff - so polite and friendly and even though languages barrier they will go out their way to accommodate you.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and will definitely return. The couple taking care of the hotel are very warm and accommodating. The room was very clean and beautiful with a comfortable bed. The outdoor shower and sinks were very cool. We had trouble getting to the hotel, as taxis either don't know where it is or don't want to drive up the mountains (except a few for a very ridiculous price). I would definitely organise transport with the hotel in advance. We didn't have cell or internet reception, but didn't mind the quiet. The area is very remote, so bring anything you need.

Stayed in the tree house and loved it sooooo much. There is a separate tea house and great villages near bye. Speaking Thai or having a Thai tour guide is a must for experiencing this location to the fullest. Get away from the smog and noise of the city and eat farm fresh food and get some uninterrupted sleep. The staff here is so wonderful and the surroundings are breathtaking . I will be back. Bring a hammock and some good books you won't be disappointed.
Nightlife Tip:
Make your own nightlife here. No bars or nightclubs so if you have had your fill of DJ "same song" and rude foreigners in bars get ready for just what the Dr. Orderd.
