The staff were a pleasure - nothing was too much trouble - a couple of issues were sorted out without any problem at all =

tHE STAFF AT the hotel were a pleasure to deal with - it was the Thai new year and people were coming through the hotel very wet but the staff were not at all phased by it - the room was well equipped and pleasant - there was no view but they did offer to move us to a room with a view - the breakfast was excellent and had a good variety from eggs and bacon to fresh fruit and croissants - and traditional thai food - the pool clean and well staffed the hotel is in an excellent location for all the sights.

Restaurant Tip : local restaurants are good - within walking - traditional thai

Layout, location, staff and price top drawer.

Definitely the hard bed was the only weakness.

The reception when we arrived made us feel very special the porter was friendly with good understanding of English and explained geography of the room. The staff greeted us every time with a smile and were very helpful. We would definitely go back to the Eurona hotel even though the bed was very firm.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Doi Suthrep and hill tribe visit + Massage at the hotel.

location, proximity to good restaurants, helpfulness of staff

not the newest hotel...the room was very clean, but the bed was extra firm...the a/c took a while to cool down the room.

I like this place, or I wouldn't have come back for a 3rd stay, even though this was just for one night. The location is excellent inside the old city. It is walking distance to some of the best restaurants in the city, there are great massage places within a block (more than 1/2 less THB than in the hotel)...the hotel lobby is beautiful, largely open air with a coi pond and gardens..the staff are very sweet and helpful. I would stay here again.

free wifi very helpful staff beautiful lobby clean room

no teapot/coffee maker in room bed somewhat uncomfortable - very firm

The eurana hotel is located just of Moon Muang Road, which is the first road inside one side of the gated central city - so very convenient location. there are many restaurants within a short walk, including the" House", considered to be one of the best in the city. The lobby is partially open air with a beautiful coi pond and gardens. The staff is VERY helpful and gracious. I did not use their spa, as there were many alternatives close by for massage that were less expensive. The breakfast was ok, a buffet style with a combination of asian and western foods, and plenty of fresh beautifully presented fruit. The pool on the second floor was a good size, and the water nice and cool after lying in the baking sun for a bit...the deep end is 1 1/2 meters, so one could dive in if so inclined. I would stay here again.

Great service, beautiful grounds, wonderful swimming pool and great location

None

The Eurana Hotel was perfect for us. The room was small but the service and grounds surrounding the hotel were comfortable. The morning breakfast was wonderful as were the staff and access to the sights in town. We took a tuk tuk to the markets but many and most people find walking a few blocks easy. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Chiang Mai is a great city to visit! Aside from the market and seeing the "local flavor" of the people, it's a good idea to book tours to some of the outlying sights such as Doi Suthep and Mae Tang Elephant Camp.

Simple, elegant design, free wireless internet, sparkling clean, everything I wanted

The staff really did not speak English at all.

I loved this place. Clean, elegant, the most comfortable bed that I slept on in Thailand. The value for the money was great; I stayed in a place across the street that cost nearly 3 times as much and yet was not as modern, spacious, or airy and offered nothing more. The staff was polite and helpful, with the only drawback (for me) being that only one person spoke English, so any question would entail a call to that person. I'm writing average for food but there was no food.

The staff was professional, the pool was a nice touch, and the garden was lovely.

There are many nice places for much less nearby. The room decor was quite dated -- not the boutiquey look in the advertisements.

The room was sparkling clean and the service was excellent. The enclosed hotel did feel like a little oasis in the middle of the old section of CM, and the garden felt quiet and private. The room layout was a little strange and old fashioned, however. I have no complaints, but moved to an equally nice place (minus the pool) across the street for half the price. The weekend entertainment (guitar player singing Hotel California)was irritating as i could hear it loud and clear in my room.

Beautiful shared bar area with decent wi-fi. Friendly and considerate staff.

Relatively small basic rooms.

I stayed only one night at the Eurana. Loved it - thought it was great - the rooms were quite small and basic , wouldn't want to spend a great deal of time in there - however the bar and shared area was lovely - little fountain in center and small bar. Pretty quiet atmosphere -more appropriate for families / couples than groups of lads. No complaints - central enough location, decent price, very relaxing and friendly.

Restaurant Tip : The on-site restaurant is not bad but you can probably get better near by.

Beautiful lobby & bar area. Nice looking pool area although we spent no time near the pool.

The room really smelled bad and gave us both sinus issues. There seems to be a mold problem in the bathroom that permeates the room. We tried several rooms and they all had the same problem. We felt like we couldn't even take a deep breath while we were in the room.

We only stayed one night and immediately found new accommodations. The staff were very nice and tried to find us a new room but every one they showed us had the same problem so we checked out.

A nice and friendly hotel right in the middle if the city center; the rooms are small and clean, good value for price. The staff is friendly, nice place to stay, quiet and well equipped, we would come again and can recommend the hotel for friends and everybody else.

I personally would not stay at this hotel again, particularly as now I have been to Chiang Mai. I have seen better alternatives at roughly the same price. But as a resident of Thailand I shall go back to the city many times.

Hotel Feature Tip : Always plenty of tuk tuks within 20 meters of hotel, just off main street so quiet at night.

I could get a one-hour foot massage at the spa in the hotel for 300 THB (10$) which I would do at night just before going up to my room to sleep! Fantastic!

The public areas are very pretty, with well-maintained walkways, gardens, ponds, and waterfalls. The pool is also well-maintained and attractive, although it doesn’t get much sun later in the afternoon. The breakfast buffet (included in the room rate) is excellent! The location is also very good. Although it’s near a main road, the side street itself is quiet and we heard very little noise at night. It’s conveniently located to walk around the walled city, including many temples, restaurants, and shops. The Sunday walking street is only about 10 minutes away. The night market is also walking distance, but a little longer walk (20-25 minutes). If you’re going further, it’s worth trying to flag down a communal taxi, which cost only 15 baht to the most of the city. Directly across the street is a very cheap internet place, and next door is a little outdoor tour stand that can arrange day trips and treks. Along Moon Muang Road, there is a 7-11, food stalls, and other shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful – we had problems with our room safe and a minor plumbing issue, and they sent up people immediately. When the safe could not be fixed, they offered use of the hotel safe. The rooms are not really the attraction here -- the “superior” room we had was adequate. There was just enough space and it had the basic amenities, but it could have used a little sprucing up, in terms of new paint, tiles, etc. We were in the “M” wing though - the rooms/suites in the other wing of the hotel opened onto balconies and seemed nicer, so try to get one of those. The hotel has a van that will drop off at the airport for 100B. I’m not sure if they also do airport pick-up. For the price we paid (US$57/night through Agoda), this hotel is a great value in terms of location and features.
