We decided to check in one day earlier than original booking and the receptionist was very good to accommodate us. Give lots of point for that.
We were hoping to enjoy western style buffet breakfast. Overall was OK, though kind of bread they serve was pretty close to only white bread which was not what we were expected at international chain hotel.
Also other than toilet paper, no other things like shampoo, soap etc never be replaced for four nights stay.
Restaurant Tip : You do need to take a tuk-tuk from the hotel, but Airport plaza got all shopping you need as well as food court where you can sample lots of real local food.

- This is a professionally-run Hotel, staff is absolutely on top of things, excellent service, much better than average in Thailand.
- Breakfast is great
- Good price
- Rooms are old except the top floors which have been renovated. Needs renovation of all rooms.
- Far away from everything
- Truly ridiculous prices for hotel restaurant. 300 baht for Pad Thai is 10x the street price!
Great, comfy, family friendly hotel. The only problem is that the rooms are very old. They are in reasonable shape but there is no denying that the carpets and furniture need to be replaced. Strange smell even in non-smoking rooms.
The staff is fantastic and professional like in a 5 star hotel - a rarity in Thailand at this price level.
Breakfast buffet is great with a large variety of choices and reasonably good quality as well as attentive staff.
Because the hotel is far away from anything, you might be tempted to order from the restaurant but the prices are a bit of a joke. I understand that hotels will be more expensive than your average restaurant on the street, but there is no excuse to literally charge 10 times normal for Thai food.
Restaurant Tip : Get out of the hotel and walk to the right through the parking lot. There is a 7-11 for convenience items, and right past it different street food vendors. I went to the largest of them where I saw the most people sitting and got dinner for 2 - three dishes - for 80 Baht.

very nice rooms, excellent breakfast buffet
the rooms are large and airy. Everything seems well run. I was really impressed by the Holiday Inn's breakfast. It helped that it wasn't overcrowded in the dining room. It's a good way to start the day. There are tuk tuks lined up outside the main entrance. The problem is in getting back. I was hijacked (unintentionally due to a language misunderstanding) and deposited at the Holiday Garden Hotel on the other side of town. It took an hour to get where I wanted to go. Sometimes the drivers are none too eager to go to the other side of the river.
Restaurant Tip : There's not much in the immediate vicinity.

served variety of nice buffet.
Restaurant has good service.
Clean room
Nice & sooth interial
Fully equiped with iron and some other basic things.
Friendly and helpful staff
value for money.
The hotel is slightly outside from the old chiang mai city but compensated with easily available tuk tuk car and taxi outside the hotel.
The breakfast buffet served variety of food and nice. Restaurant has good service. The room is clean and the interial is very soothing and relaxing. They have complimentary drinks for you and some fruits. THe room is fully equiped with iron and some other basic equipment. The room is tidy and clean everday. The hotel staff is really friendly. On the last day, i forgot to take my items while checkout and the staff there quickly inform me before i head to airport. Really appreciate their quick response. The price is also affordable and value for money. If you were staying facing the river, you can see the old chiang mai city especially during night time when the city is lightened.
Futher more, the staff are polite and helpful. They are also well versed in English. If you have problem for transport to city, they will be gladly arrange it for you. I would recommend this hotel for single traveler or couple of all ages.
Shopping Tip : Baan Tawai is a nice place to buy some handicraft and local handmade product. It have cheap and variety of product. Or head to Sunday market to enjoy local food and shop for various product including painting & some braided handbags.

Clean, great friendly staff, quiet location but close to city (5,10min by Taxi)
Good price
lack of free internet (dunno i think i prefer 24/7 connection included in the price of hotel)
maybe a bit to far from the city
It is my second stay in the hotel and most likely not the last one. I do enjoy staying in this hotel. Room is big and has everything you might possible need. I would prefer to have internet included in the price but to be honest price for the hotel is very reasonable so I do not think that is the big deal (it is possible to order internet at the reception).

Almost everything. View, quality of room, sheets, bed and WONDERFUL housekeeping staff!!!
Nothing major, some staff were a little childish (the younger ones at reception), but this is Thailand.
Wow, this was the greatest experience...rented an executive river view room, magical little stay and great service. Spa (free next to 'gym') was top notch. Staff generally was up to help with absolutely everything. Wrecked my next stay at a little boutique hotel where the staff was poorly trained, at least by comparison. You will LOVE this Holiday Inn. Not ideal for those walking, but I rented a motorbike and, therefore, was much nicer as it is quite quiet and more ideal for the business or older person.

Good and prompt service. Room is clean and comfortable. The price is fair and worthy.
Air conditioner is not cool.
I booked Hotel Inn via Agoda after I surved the information of hotels through internet.
The reason I choose it since the room fee is pretty fair for a 3 stars hotel like Holiday inn Chiangmai there. After we checked in , I found that the room is big , comforable and clean. Room service is also quick and nice.
The location of this hotel is very close to the air port. It is very convient to get the "taxi" there and go to downtown for food or shopping.
The breakfast is delicious and rich.
My families and I took a very nice vocation during our stay in Hotel inn for 4 nights.
I recommend this hotel as your option when you go to Chingmai.

Fitness center, breakfast buffet, room service, room comfort, hospital adjacent.
We have lived in Northern Thailand for over four years now and often travel to Chiang Mai for family vacations or long weekends. We have stayed in nice hotels and cheap guesthouses, historically preferring the Amari Rincome and the Baan Kaew guest house, depending on our needs each trip. However, after discovering the Holiday Inn, we have a new favorite upper-level stay.
The breakfast buffet is the best in Chiang Mai, the staff are friendly and genuinely helpful, the rooms are beautiful - large and up-to-date.
The only drawback might be the location if you do not know the city or do not have a vehicle. It is not far from the town center and offers shuttle service, but you cannot walk to and from the hotel to anywhere special.
Finally, it is directly across the street from a hospital, which served us well as we had to make an emergency run one morning (part of the joys of parenthood).
We highly recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip : The mushroom burger, lasagna and spinach ravioli (all on the room service menu) were exceptional and exceeded our expectations.

Costly wireless internet. Breakfast buffet is fair. The hotel food was very good, but priced high.
Overall our stay was excellent. This hotel offers an excellent value. The staffs were very attentive and helpful. The hotel was very clean & well maintained. The beds were soft, yet firm. The hotel food was very good, but pricy compared to outside facilities. Taxis & "tuk-tuks' are freely available just outside the hotel.

The Hotel is cetrally located and yet far from the city noises. It is well connected by Tuk tuks and taxis which are all very reasonably priced.
Need to install a bidet in the bathrooms. In todays date and time this is essential.
We were three couples from 40yrs to 75 yrs. who came on a holiday to Chiang Mai for the first time. We are fortunate we selected the Holiday Inn. It is very centrally located has excellent facilities with a breakfast spread that would make royalty envious. The staff is very friendly and helpful, in fact all our woderful tour trips were suggested by the staff.
The hotel is well connected with Tuk tuks and taxis which are very reasonably priced.
The bar and the restaurants are super, and the living rooms very spacious. I recommend the rooms facing the River and as high as possible.
Shopping Tip : The Night Market is an experience that must not be missed by any visitor

Restaurant, Size of rooms, views
distance from city center
The hotel is very nice. This hotel was a Westin which never panned out, so it isn't your typical Holiday Inn. The views from the breakfast restaurant are amazing for Chiang Mai.

Amazing service, always delivered with a smile. Catered to all tastes with the greatest of ease. Couldn't have been more helpful if they tried and made our stay beautiful and easy. Will definitely be staying at Holiday Inn on our next trip to Chiang Mai. Would recommend to ANYONE thinking of staying in the area. Can't sing high enough praise of this hotel.
Shopping Tip : Just across the bridge, out front of the hotel, there is an awesome market. THE BEST food in Chiang Mai. Do it.
