Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Perfect location and good standard of room
Location is ideal. Staff are friendly. Chiang Mai is great

this hotel is an absolutely ideal central location but also really quiet. our room was clean and a big size but my only complaint was the water was a sort of off-yellow colour.
the staff were really friendly, particularly the morning team and i'd definitely recommend this place for the price.

great loaction accessible to many locations,
walk 5-10 minutes to night bazaar,

spacious room with comfortable king size bed, the only minus point is the toilet is too dark, pretty dim at the shower area..

Situated perfectly. Kind staff. Fairly sized room
At Thapae Gate. Very kind staff.

Rooms are a bit small and a bit run down but have good bed, sofa, TV and good bathroom. A bit noisy but it was Songkran. Would happily stay here again. Good value for the money I paid.

The hotel is near the Thapae Gate. I think it was renvoated recently. The rooms and bathroom are pretty decent.
The street next to the hotel offers a selection of eateries.
Else you can take a "red truck" to the nearby Market or to the night bazaar.
Just didn't like the mosquitoe infestation at the hotel coffeehouse. I was busy swatting the mozzies during dinner.
Overall, a decent hotel to stay.

Very good location, just beside Ta Pae Gate, one end of the famous Sunday market. 15 min walking to a night bazaar. There are many restaurant and massage shops nearby. Hotel is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Nice place.

I have lived in Thailand since 1999 and travel to Chiang Mai frequently for work and/or leisure. I have always stayed at "M" which was formerly called the Montri. I find it very comfortable.
Restaurant Tip:
• Walk out of the "M" and turn right. Cross the street at the corner and continue walking straight for a block or two. You'll find Jerusalem restaurant for decent Middle Eastern food.
• Go through Thapae Gate in front of "M". Cross the street and then turn left and walk for a few blocks. Just before the 3-way intersection you'll find The Swan for very good Burmese food and, next door, a decent Mexican restaurant.
