Huen Come Residence Hotel, Chiang Mai

We arrived to heaven on earth, it felt abit like you were in a movie set or something. Anywhere you look it looks like a painting. The rroms are spacious and clean with aircondition. A lot of Tv- channels to choose from. The hotel restaurant is excellent. The food is so good that we had our dinner there almost every night before we went out. The staff is very kind and helpful and it feels sad when you leave. If you are looking to stay in hotel that will offer you the feeling of the "real" Thailand with a wonderfull garden aswell then this is as good as it gets. Make sure you book a double bed though if that´s what you want i your a couple and NOT twin beds. We have seen all of the three rooms and they are all perfect. If we ever com back to Chaing Mai then there is no doubt where we are going to stay! Malin Nilsson and Stephen Dada

The Rhen Come In is more than just a boutique hotel it is a gem in the city of Chiang Mai. It is a cultural getaway and oasis set in a peaceful and serene environment with magnificent exotic groomed gardens enveloping this slice of paradise. Situated only 3 kilometres from Chiang Mai airport and the buzz of the hectic city no one would ever imagine such an original find, not even Lonely Planet. My wife Angela and I have never felt more welcome. As soon as we entered this overwhelmingly magnificent golden teak villa we were greeted with warm smiles in traditional Thai ceremony by all the staff and the gorgeous managing director, Pimwalan. The owner and staff treated my wife and I like family. We have travelled to many places stayed in some of the world’s finest hotels and dined in Michelin star restaurants, but no one has ever been so attentive to our every need. To give you an example, one evening we completely lost track of time eating and talking with new friends and the restaurant staff – all of them – the cook, the waiter, the cleaner, everyone, waited on us well past their shifts had ended to ensure we were happy. If we had known the sacrifice we would have left much earlier, but experiencing such a service, I have never seen. What’s so fascinating about this ‘culture-rich oasis’ in the vicinity of the charming and exotic city centre with its numerous Temples, is the story of the hotel itself. The actual building could not be more authentic and in its own right is a heritage home made from the “Golden Teak” timber of five old houses from the area which is so rare and over 100 years old. There is nothing in the world quite like it. Tradition is truly celebrated here - everything from the building’s history to the cuisine is true to the region. Some would call this place a Centre for Wellbeing. The food is all organic and hand-picked from the hotel’s gardens fresh every day. We spent many a day wandering the garden with Pimwalan.

as per title, this private house is cosy and owned by one of the oldest family in the region. the place has 2 rooms only for renting which makes it more a B&B than a hotel. the place is relatively far from all activities and restaurants and transport to/from is a real issue. To solve this problem, the owners offer a private transport service but at a cost 50% higher than would normally cost by regular taxi. However, you may end up with no real choice using it as no other service may be accessible. The staff including the owners are very caring and attentive. Being the only guest may make you feel too much the center of this attention.
