A very comprehensive buffet style breakfast was on offer, and definitely featured something for everyone. A hoard of tuk tuk drivers 'hang out' at the front of the hotel, and can assist you to get around the city. Be sure to negotiate!
- Restaurant Tip : Kalare food court on Chang Klan Road is an absolute bargain, and the food is excellent.
Average price for a dish is 30 Baht, around $1 USD. Live entertainment provided too!

The night security guard ought to mind his manners. If late night guest(s) is an issue, then he ought to handle this more tactfully and with grace. He does not have the right to embarass guests. Cornering a paying guest to the front desk is not my idea of courtesy. Couldn't the protocols be sorted out in the morning, in the absence of other guests? He just wants to be rude and has no idea how to treat guests politely.
- Restaurant Tip : Lots of other buffet restaurants are close by, such as at the Suriwongse and Duangtawan. I imagine the coming Le Meridian will have similar offerings. So there is no need to be stuck at the Mae Ping for dining.
